Remember when we added Bluesky follower tracking last month and said Mastodon was coming soon? Well, here it is.
You can now track your Mastodon follower count in your analytics dashboard. If you've added your Mastodon profile to your newsletter's social links, you'll see a new "Mastodon followers" metric showing how your follower count changes over time.
This works with any Mastodon instance—whether you're on mastodon.social, a smaller community server, or self-hosting your own. Just make sure your Mastodon URL is set up in your design settings under social links.
To enable it, head to your analytics page and add "Mastodon followers" to your visible metrics. Data starts collecting from when you first add your Mastodon profile, so if you haven't added it yet, now's a good time.
