Yes. Each sponsorship slot can be set to "Managed by you" mode, where you handle pricing and payment outside of Buttondown. Buttondown still manages the content submission and review workflow for you.

When a sponsor purchases a slot, they receive a link to submit their ad content. You review submissions from your Buttondown dashboard and approve or reject them. Approved content is automatically included in your newsletter when you send.
