You can now add automatic alt text to your images

Buttondown will never use your content or newsletter to power AI or LLMs without your express permission (as our lengthy and detailed blog post on the subject explains), but we do want to make it easier for you to improve your newsletter and make it more accessible.

In my experience, the best features are the ones that "just work" without you having to press a button that says "AI" or has the dreaded magic-wand emoji. Here's a simple example: you can now use a small little computer vision model to generate alt text for your images.
