Happy May, and welcome back to TBB’s newsletter! I hope you’ve all been doing well!
To start, here’s what happened in April before we move onto May and the MotM:
A quick celebration - our Youtube channel reached 700 subscribers last month! Ever since, I’ve been thinking about how cool it would be to hit 1000 by my birthday in July - it’s a long shot, but we’ll see. Either way, if you’re one of the 700, thank you very much for hanging out with us over there!
I’ve also been livestreaming some of our digital modeling work. A lot of times I’m the only one in the stream, but I love having company if you ever want to stop by during a stream.
Some of the projects I worked on in April.
Employee update: we had a very pretty bumblebee break into our house. The criminal stung Taboo before being detained in solitary confinement and released the following day. As a result of this “vicious attack,” Taboo developed an abscess and is currently on paid leave while he recovers. (Translation: he’s getting spoiled on hand-delivered cans of wet food.)
Hello and happy spring to you, readers! It’s Chet and Char from The Beast Boutique, back to update you on life and shop things! (This is a long one; I apologize in advance.)
What happened in March:
March came with a frustrating detour into the Doldrums, where The Malaise, aka. my depression, dwells. 🙃 (Thank you, Dead Cells.) Interpersonal issues, health stuff, and external stressors left no room for art or working on the business. That’s why the Pride restock I had planned ended up being half the size I’d hoped for.
Hello! Just dropping a quick line from us here at The Beast Boutique to let you know that the planned Pride release is here - mostly!
I ended up needing a bit of a break on this drop, but I didn’t want to wait until everything was done to share. There will be at least one more burst of Pride figurines after this, but here’s what we have for this round.
This drop includes a restock of our Pride rats and otters, two models never released as a 7-flag set before - the Dancing Cats and the newly-remastered Chubby Bunny - and some stand-alone pandas and elephants that didn’t get a full set. (Please, let me know if you’d like to see any of those as a 7-flag set, or what other flags you would like to see.)
Welcome back to TBB’s newsletter! March is a big month for us, with lots of milestones, but first, here’s what happened in February:
TBB catered for a birthday party! We brought blank figurines and supplies to the venue, and guests got to paint their own figurine to take home with them! Paint-your-own workshops have always been intriguing to us, so it was great to get the chance to try it out, and I’d love to get another shot at it sometime.
The party guests all had such fun approaches -and beautiful outcomes!
Our brand-new horse model debuted, and the Festival Horse was the belle of the ball! Thank you for all the support and love for our newest model. We’re looking forward to sharing the other poses and hairstyles we’re working on.
Which brings us to March:
First, a big ✨ Pride restock ✨ is in the works. Our Pride otters will be coming back this month, and there will also be 7-flag sets of cats, skunks, rabbits, and more! This will possibly be the biggest Pride drop we’ve ever done, so I’m very excited. (A restock email may go out later this month when they’ve been added to the shop.)
Wassup, my homies? Chet (and Char) here. Welcome to The Beast Boutique’s first newsletter! I expect we’ll have monthly updates or so, including recaps, current projects, model releases, upcoming events, and Model of the Month announcements. (Read to the end for February’s MotM!)
What happened in January:
Longtime followers might recognize Baby John. He’s been nothing but a head for the last ten years, though there have been attempts to give him a body. I finally succeeded in January. He’s a real boy now, and we hope to bring him to the shop soon.
