Gweithio gyda'n gilydd fel Perchnogion Gwasanaeth: llunio gwasanaethau gwell ym maes gofal iechyd
Mae Ayala Gordon yn myfyrio ar yr hyn sy'n digwydd pan fydd pobl yn dod ynghyd o amgylch dealltwriaeth gyffredin o anghenion defnyddwyr, canlyniadau a diben. Fel mae'n dweud: "Mae 'Perchennog Gwasanaeth' yn rôl; mae 'perchnogaeth gwasanaeth' yn feddylfryd. Er y gall un person ddal y teitl, mae gwella gwasanaethau'n gofyn am ymrwymiad ar y cyd i ddeall anghenion defnyddwyr, canlyniadau a gwelliant parhaus."

Archwilio Cymru yn cyhoeddi Cod Ymarfer Archwilio newydd
Mae Adrian Crompton, Archwilydd Cyffredinol Cymru, yn amlinellu'r Cod Ymarfer Archwilio newydd, sy'n rhoi mwy o bwyslais ar gymesuredd, archwilio ar sail risg, annibyniaeth a defnyddio barn broffesiynol. Mae hefyd yn adlewyrchu datblygiadau fel y defnydd o ddeallusrwydd artiffisial mewn archwilio. Mae'r Cod yn darparu fframwaith wedi'i ddiweddaru ar gyfer archwilio'r sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru, gan helpu i sicrhau bod gwaith craffu'n parhau'n effeithiol ac yn gwneud y defnydd gorau o adnoddau cyhoeddus.

Sut dylai llywodraethau fynd i'r afael â heriau polisi cymhleth?
Mae Andy Regan, Pennaeth Nesta Cymru, yn ymuno â phodlediad Walescast i drafod beth sydd ei angen i gyflawni diwygiadau uchelgeisiol yn y sector cyhoeddus, gan gynnwys ym maes gofal plant. Mae hyn yn bwysig oherwydd bod Cymru'n parhau i wynebu penderfyniadau polisi anodd sy'n galw am ffyrdd newydd o ddylunio a darparu gwasanaethau cyhoeddus.

Dylunio'r darlun ehangach
Mae Amy Richards yn myfyrio ar yr hyn mae hi wedi’i ddysgu dros saith mis yn gweithio fel prif ddylunydd gwasanaeth ar Ap GIG Cymru. Mae hi’n dadlau bod angen i dimau gydweithio ar draws gwahanol ddisgyblaethau a sefydliadau er mwyn gwella’r gwasanaethau ehangach y mae pobl yn dibynnu arnyn nhw. Mae hyn yn bwysig oherwydd, er mwyn gwella gofal iechyd digidol, mae angen gwella’r gwasanaeth cyfan, nid dim ond yr hyn sydd ar y sgrin.

Lansio gwasanaeth newydd dwyieithog i ymgeisio am gynllun rheoli coedwig
Mae Jane Davidson yn rhannu sut y gwnaeth Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru droi proses gymhleth ar gyfer gwneud cais am gynllun rheoli coedwig yn wasanaeth ar-lein dwyieithog a chliriach. Drwy weithio’n agos gydag arbenigwyr coedwigaeth a defnyddwyr, fe wnaeth y tîm symleiddio’r canllawiau, cael gwared ar gwestiynau diangen a phrofi’r gwasanaeth cyn ei lansio. Mae hyn yn bwysig oherwydd mae’n dangos sut y gall cydweithio a phrofi’n gynnar wneud gwasanaethau cyhoeddus cymhleth yn symlach i bobl eu defnyddio ac yn fwy effeithlon i’r timau sy’n eu darparu.

Pam mae darganfod parhaus yn bwysig
Mae Nia Campbell o Trawsnewid Cymru yn esbonio sut mae tîm Ap GIG Cymru yn dysgu’n barhaus gan gleifion er mwyn gwella gwasanaethau a helpu i benderfynu ble i fuddsoddi yn y dyfodol. Drwy gyfuno arolygon, data ac ymchwil, gall y tîm adnabod problemau na fydd mesurau perfformiad ar eu pen eu hunain yn eu datgelu. Gallan nhw hefyd weld a yw newidiadau yn gwella profiadau pobl.

Working together as Service Owners: shaping better services across healthcare
Ayala Gordon reflects on what happens when people come together around a shared understanding of user needs, outcomes and purpose. “‘Service Owner’ is a role; ‘service ownership’ is a mindset. While one person may hold the title, improving services requires a collective commitment to understanding user needs, outcomes and continuous improvement.”

Audit Wales publishes new Code of Audit Practice
Adrian Crompton, Auditor General for Wales, outlines the new Code of Audit Practice, which strengthens the focus on proportionality, risk-based auditing, independence and the use of professional judgement. It also reflects developments such as the use of artificial intelligence in audit. It provides an updated framework for public audit in Wales, helping ensure scrutiny remains effective and makes the best use of public resources.

How should governments tackle complex policy challenges?
Andy Regan, Head of Nesta Cymru, joins the Walescast podcast to discuss what it takes to deliver ambitious public sector reforms, including in areas such as childcare. This matters because Wales continues to face difficult policy choices that require new approaches to designing and delivering public services.

Designing the bigger picture
Amy Richards reflects on what she has learned from seven months working on the NHS Wales App as lead service designer. She argues that teams need to work across disciplines and organisational boundaries to improve the wider services people rely on. It matters because better digital healthcare depends on improving the whole service, not just the screen.

Launching a new bilingual forest management plan application service
Jane Davidson shares how Natural Resources Wales transformed a complex forest management plan application process into a clearer, bilingual online service. Working closely with forestry experts and users, the team simplified guidance, removed unnecessary questions and tested the service before launch. It matters because it shows how collaboration and early testing can make complex public services simpler for users and more efficient for the teams delivering them.

Why continuous discovery matters
Transform Wales’ Nia Campbell explains how the NHS Wales App team is continuously learning from patients to improve services and guide future investment. By combining surveys, data and research, the team can identify problems that performance measures alone may miss and track whether changes improve people’s experiences.
