Like the US Men's soccer team, Not Quite is a work in progress. I'm figuring things out as I go. I'll have some successes (hopefully) and lots of failures.

Yes, it's a small screen printing shop. But I'm hoping it becomes something bigger than that. It's about ideas. Conversation pieces. And maybe even a community. Everybody wears t-shirts. Often, we are walking advertisements. Honestly, I don't want to make advertisements. I want to make things that can get people talking. We need more of that right now.

So let's keep talking. What do you want to know about Not Quite?

I make things. Between snacks. In my basement.

With a four-armed manual screen press. A DIY exposure box that says “Heck Yeah!” A second-hand heat press. A wobbly flash dryer. And an old-school, heavy-duty serger—which will outlive me—for finishing the edges of the hanks.

Once again, I'm looking for a new name for this newsletter. Nothing really feels quite right.

“Everyday is Garbage Day”? It's okay. But some days aren't all garbage.

"Meese Hall"? Tried that. Not into it.

Not Quite a Newsletter fits, but maybe a bit too try hard.

Hey! Look… over here. I’m starting this thing and I have no idea what I’m doing. Sorry, so awkward. Anyhow. I’m calling it Everyday is garbage… because apparently I’m a glutton for punishment.

Maybe it’s the voice of a small print shop called Not Quite. Maybe it’s a “creative agency.” Maybe it’s nothing at all.

That last one feels about right. I give up. Talk soon.

It’s been a while. Too long really.
