Hi, again. I'm back sooner than I anticipated but I wanted to let you know that I've renamed this newsletter. Why?
Well… do you have any idea how many t-shirts there are in the world? Me neither, but there are a lot.
Heck, I just signed up for a wholesale account with a distributor owned by one of the largest and oldest private equity firms in the market. Why? Because t-shirts are serious business.
Last night, while folding my laundry, I counted nine t-shirts worn over the past few days. That's insane. Running t-shirts. PJ t-shirts. The t-shirt I spilled coffee on and had to change. And so on and so forth.
So, yes, T-Shirts Are Serious Business. That's the new name of this little newsletter. Not Quite is a serious business too.
Which gives the title a whole new meaning to me as I begin my screen printing endeavor. Not because I'm some kind of expert on t-shirts. I'm not. But I have spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking seriously about stupid things. Not just t-shirts. Donuts. The peace sign. Sporks. The list is extensive. Now, I’m taking these dumb ideas so seriously that I'm turning some of them into conversation pieces -- and printing them on t-shirts.
T-Shirts Are Serious Business isn't just a silly statement about the state of the messed up world we live in. It's also a confession wearing a t-shirt masquerading as a business plan.
And I'm just getting started. Serious thoughts about stupid stuff. You with me?
