Fri: Moni First Friday, 4–8 — live music, raw bar, BBQ, sweets and flowers

Why go: A raw bar and a barbecue in the same beer garden, on the one Friday a year that's actually named after beer.

Newport Craft Brewing — Newport

Fri: Food Truck Fridays, 5–9 — live music and rotating local trucks, with Wally's on site

Why go: The lowest-effort good night on Aquidneck Island: show up, there's a band and a truck, no plan required.

Tower Hill Brewing — South Kingstown

Best Sunday • Music ✓ • Tickets Sun

Sat: Music — Sorry Sadie, 6:45–9:45
Sun: 'The Matunuck Oysterman' premiere, 3–5 — screening at South County Cinemas, then a meet-and-greet at the brewery. Half of every ticket goes to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Why go: A film about the man behind Matunuck Oyster Bar, then a pint with the people who made it — the only real Sunday plan on the board.

Worth keeping on the radar

🍺 Ragged Island Brewing — Portsmouth. Sunday Block Party, 12–6, free: Conscious Reggae Band and Talking Dreads, a reggae Talking Heads tribute, plus four food trucks.
🍺 Grey Sail Brewing — Westerly. Music all three days: Steve Jordan Friday, Cross Road Blues Saturday, Brandon Donahue Sunday afternoon.

Coming up: Brew at the Zoo — Saturday August 29, 5–8 at Roger Williams Park Zoo. Dozens of breweries, TJ & the Campers playing, 21+, general admission $75. Worth buying early.
