What's on Tap RI: August 14–16

What's on Tap RI: August 14–16

No festival this weekend and no block party — just Rhode Island breweries doing the ordinary thing well. There's live music somewhere in the state all three days, a different food truck every day in Portsmouth, and a sit-down beer dinner in Bristol if you'd rather plan than wander.

⭐ If you only pick one: Trágmar Ale Works — an Irish trad session Friday, DC Gracie Saturday, and a ticketed beer dinner Sunday. Three different nights, one door.

Trágmar Ale Works — Bristol

Best three-night stretch • Music ✓ • Tickets Sun

Fri: Music — Irish Traditional Music Session, 7–9
Sat: Music — DC Gracie, 6–9
Sun: SEBs Beer Dinner — ticketed, book ahead

Why go: A session, a singer and a sit-down dinner in three days — nobody else in the state is offering that much variety.

Grey Sail Brewing — Westerly

Best music every day • Music ✓

Fri: Music — Glenn Thomas, 5–8
Sat: Music — Luke Domozick, 4–7
Sun: Music — JRay Dynamic, 2–5

Why go: Three afternoons and evenings of music at the outdoor Westerly taproom — the South County pick if you want a set in the daylight.

Ragged Island Brewing — Portsmouth

Best food • Music Fri • Food ✓

Fri: Music — Bob Tomassone, 5:30–8:30 • Food — JA Patty, 1–8
Sat: Food — South County BBQ, 1–8
Sun: Food — Little Fish, 1–7 • Ben & Jerry's, 3–7

Why go: A different truck every day of the weekend, and Friday has music behind it.

Whalers Brewing — South Kingstown

Best Friday night • Music Fri • Food Sat

Fri: Music — River Sang Wild, 7:30
Sat: Food — La Gatta Salata, from 12

Why go: A Boston alt/indie rock band in the taproom Friday, then an Italian truck slinging sandwiches Saturday.

Taproot Brewing — Middletown

Best Sunday daytime • Music Sun • Food ✓

Sun: Brunch, then music on the tank patio
Music — Sunday Music Series, 1–4
Food — brunch 10–1, plus food stations and the charcuterie cart for walk-ups

Why go: The lowest-effort Sunday on the list — eat at ten, stay for three hours of music on the patio.
