What's on Tap RI: August 21–23

Three of this week's five picks are places we've never sent you before — including our first-ever pick north of Providence. Sunday is the strong day: an outdoor concert in Cumberland and oysters on a patio in Warwick. Friday's the ticketed one, so if you want a piano or a movie, buy before you go.

⭐ If you only pick one: Phantom Farms Brewing — Sunday 2–7 in Cumberland, a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute and a Nirvana tribute back to back, outdoors. All ages, free parking, tickets ahead of time.

Phantom Farms Brewing — Cumberland

Best music pick • Music ✓ • Food ✓ • Tickets • All-ages

Sun: Red Not Chili Peppers + Nirvani — outdoor tribute doubleheader
Music — Red Not Chili Peppers (RHCP) and Nirvani (Nirvana), 2–7
Food — on site; no outside food or drink
Free parking, lot opens noon, rain or shine

Why go: Two tribute bands, one afternoon, and the rare brewery show where you can bring the kids and a lawn chair.

Apponaug Brewing — Warwick

Best Sunday move • Music ✓ • Food ✓

Sun: Shuck Yeah! — on the patio, 1–4
Music — Winelight, a sax and piano duo
Food — fresh oysters from 401 Oyster Co.

Why go: Oysters and a sax duo for three hours on a Sunday afternoon, and you don't need a ticket to walk in.

Newport Craft Brewing — Newport

Best easy Friday • Music ✓ • Food ✓

Fri: Food Truck Friday, from 5 — live music and a rotating lineup of local food trucks.

Why go: The lowest-planning night on the list — turn up, eat from a truck, catch a set.

Buttonwoods Brewery — Providence

Best wildcard • Food ✓ • Tickets Fri

Fri: Horror Movie Night — The Lost Boys, outdoors from 8 (doors 7) • Screaming Unicorn kitchen open

Why go: Vampires on a screen in the yard with a beer and a full kitchen behind you. Get the ticket first.

Tower Hill Brewing — South Kingstown

Best night out • Music ✓ • Tickets Fri

Fri: Dueling Pianos, 8–10 — tickets, and groups of six get a reserved table
Sat: Music — The Sharing Room, 6:45–9:45
Sun: Mah Jong, 6–8:45, free — bring your own board

Why go: A loud, request-driven Friday, a soul-and-guitar duo Saturday, and a quiet Sunday if you'd rather not shout.
