Incursion: Red River's Next Update Drops Squads Into a New Hanoi Outskirts Map

Incursion: Red River, the PvE-only Vietnam War extraction shooter, previewed Content Update #4 at the FPS Games Show on September 3. DICE confirmed in a September 2 community update that Battlefield 6's Season 4 Phase 3, called Tidal Strike, brings proximity chat to the battle royale mode RedSec on September 15. Voices are positioned directionally, blocked by walls, changed indoors, and muffled inside vehicles. It rolls out first through Battlefield Labs for testing, with mute and report controls and a channel toggle below the Commo Rose. Multiplayer gets the feature later.

Player impact: Proximity chat means enemies can hear your callouts and you can hear theirs. Great for chaotic clips, risky for comms discipline, so squads will argue about whether to leave it on before a serious match.

Road to Vostok's Nomads Build Adds a Friendly Faction and Targets September 30

Solo-developed survival shooter Road to Vostok showed Build 2, titled Nomads, at the FPS Games Show, aiming for September 30. Nvidia's 616.64 Driver Fixes the Monitor and Overclock Bugs Its Last One Shipped

Nvidia released Game Ready driver 616.64 WHQL on September 3, replacing the 616.56 build that broke some 8-bit monitors and crashed RTX 50 overclocking tools days earlier. The new driver adds Game Ready support for NBA 2K27 and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, including NBA 2K27's DLSS 5 on RTX 50 cards. Nvidia claims up to 370 FPS at 4K on an RTX 5090 with every DLSS feature enabled.

AMD's 26.9.1 Driver Squashes Apex Legends and Starfield Crashes on RX 9000 Cards

AMD released Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 on September 4 for Radeon GPUs. It fixes intermittent crashes in Apex Legends and Starfield on RX 9000-series cards and adds support for Onimusha: Way of the Sword and The Blood of Dawnwalker.
