STALZONE's Tulpa Season Leans Into Horror, and It Still Refuses to Wipe Your Gear
STALZONE, the free-to-play Chernobyl extraction MMO that used to be called StalCraft: X, revealed its horror-themed Tulpa season at the FPS Games Show on September 3. Its core pitch stays intact: your character, faction standing, reputation, and equipped weapons carry forward permanently, with no seasonal wipe. Only the loot you grab on a run is at risk until you extract alive. The Tulpa season adds a psychological-horror layer where stalkers stop trusting each other.
Player impact: If you bounced off Escape from Tarkov because wipes reset your progress every few months, this is the extraction shooter built around keeping what you earn. It costs nothing to try on Steam.

Incursion: Red River's Next Update Drops Squads Into a New Hanoi Outskirts Map
Incursion: Red River, the PvE-only Vietnam War extraction shooter, previewed Content Update #4 at the FPS Games Show on September 3. The update adds a new map called Outskirts, set in the industrial zones outside Hanoi, plus a food and drink survival system, reworked enemy AI, new art, and fresh utility items. PvE-only means you fight AI, not other players. The developer scheduled the update for this fall.
Player impact: A hunger and thirst layer changes how long you can stay in a raid before you have to pull out, so squads will pack supplies alongside ammo. A new map also means fresh loot routes to learn before everyone else does.

Battlefield 6 Adds Proximity Chat to Battle Royale on September 15
DICE confirmed in a September 2 community update that Battlefield 6's Season 4 Phase 3, called Tidal Strike, brings proximity chat to the battle royale mode RedSec on September 15. Voices are positioned directionally, blocked by walls, changed indoors, and muffled inside vehicles. It rolls out first through Battlefield Labs for testing, with mute and report controls and a channel toggle below the Commo Rose. Multiplayer gets the feature later.
Player impact: Proximity chat means enemies can hear your callouts and you can hear theirs. Great for chaotic clips, risky for comms discipline, so squads will argue about whether to leave it on before a serious match.

Road to Vostok's Nomads Build Adds a Friendly Faction and Targets September 30
Solo-developed survival shooter Road to Vostok showed Build 2, titled Nomads, at the FPS Games Show, aiming for September 30. It introduces the Nomads, a friendly wandering faction you can trade with, help during random events, and eventually invite to your base. The build also adds new traders, new weapons, and a ghillie-suited hunter that stalks the player for sport. The developer says Build 2 is roughly 75 percent complete.
Player impact: This is the first big content step for a hardcore single-player survival shooter that has been demo-only until now. If you want tense solo looting without PvP griefing, September 30 is the date to try the new build.

AMD's 26.9.1 Driver Squashes Apex Legends and Starfield Crashes on RX 9000 Cards
AMD released Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 on September 4 for Radeon GPUs. It fixes intermittent crashes in Apex Legends and Starfield on RX 9000-series cards and adds support for Onimusha: Way of the Sword and The Blood of Dawnwalker. AMD also flagged known issues: Windows 10 users may lose Smart Access Memory after installing, and installs can fail in regions with limited access to HuggingFace or GitHub.
Player impact: If you play Apex on an RX 9000 card and kept crashing, this is the fix to install. Windows 10 owners should confirm Smart Access Memory stays on after the update, since losing it costs real performance.
