This Week in Raycast — September 21 – 27, 2026
Seventeen new extensions this week, a long run of Apple Reminders and Orion updates, and Raycast 2.5.
Productivity
Fetch — by @chrismessina
Download files from Raycast: one URL, a batch of them (pasted, pulled out of prose or markdown links, or imported from open browser tabs), or a curl-style range such as file[001-025].zip. Transfers run in a background curl process that keeps going after Raycast closes and can resume after an interruption, and a Download History command keeps the last 100 downloads.
Quick Groups — by @neilbartlett
Describe projects, machines, clients, or documents in local YAML files, search for one, then act on it: open its files and URLs, launch it in an app, connect over SSH, open an Obsidian note, or copy stored values. Files reload as they change, and a Browse Fields command lists a single field across every group (for example, every IP address).
Slides2PDF — by @Root-Bert
Converts the files selected in Finder to PDF using apps already on the Mac — PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Pages, Numbers, Excel, LibreOffice, or sips for images — and falls back to the next capable app if one fails. It also handles plain-text and code files, and never overwrites an existing file.
LDAP Contacts — by @frdmn
Looks up colleagues in a company LDAP or Active Directory directory by name, email, or phone number, shows their title and department, and copies or pastes their phone number.
Number Formatter — by @dydent
Type or paste a number to see it grouped, in short and long compact form (1.2 million), and in scientific notation, in the system locale or English, German, French, Italian, or Spanish. Everything runs offline.
Swift Salamander — by @c0desurfer
Opens a typed path, the path on the clipboard, the current Finder selection, or a saved workspace in Swift Salamander, a dual-pane file manager for macOS. A preference picks whether paths open in the active pane, the opposite pane, or a new tab.
frp Client Manager — by @bluenight91
Manages a local client for frp, the open-source reverse proxy for exposing a local server through NAT. It shows process status and live proxy state from frpc.toml, and it can tail and filter logs, edit the config, and upgrade to new releases. A menu bar item handles start, stop, and restart.
Quick Radios — by @tejas-911
A Wi-Fi manager for Raycast on Windows: scan for networks and join them, reconnect to or forget saved ones, inspect connection details, share a password as a QR code, and run a speed test. A separate command toggles the Wi-Fi radio. No administrator rights are needed.
Updates to existing productivity extensions:
- Apple Reminders: two new commands, Create Reminder from Current Tab and Create Reminder from Selected Email; natural-language recurrence in Create Reminder; priority and tags when creating or updating reminders, with tags shown in My Reminders; Move to List and Create Calendar Event actions; and a default list and date format for Quick Add.
- Orion: a series of Command Bar updates — a configurable number of live search suggestions (zero turns off the network requests), fuzzy and pinyin matching as a fallback for open tabs, a Current Tab label, separate entries for duplicate-URL tabs, better Top Hit selection, and several fixes for web-address detection and focus.
- Bento Window: tiling now runs through a Swift Accessibility helper instead of System Events; tiling nine windows dropped from about 3.7s to 0.8s.
- Browser Bookmarks: on macOS, ⌘↵ opens a new tab, ⇧↵ opens a new window, and an optional preference replaces the current tab (Safari, Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Vivaldi); favicons render more reliably.
- Media Converter: Edit Media now speeds video up to 40× (previously 4×), changes frame rate to 24, 30, or 60 fps, and can remove audio.
- Quick Event: natural-language reminders and alarms on new events.
- Set Audio Device: Set Output Volume and Set Input Volume take an optional level argument, so a hotkey, Quicklink, or deeplink can set the volume without opening the form.
- Paste as Plain Text: pastes sooner — the HUD now runs after the paste, and dropping three dependencies cut the bundle from 1.9 MB to 91 KB.
- Slack: the Unread Messages configuration no longer loses selections, and a Done action returns to the unread list.
- Large Type: text is scaled to fit the window instead of being cut off, and text after
&,<, or>no longer disappears. - Search Zotero: an Open Secondary PDF action, and an empty search lists items by last opened.
- Shortcut Library: a searchable category dropdown.
- Mozilla Firefox: an Open in New Window action.
- Docker: uses the current Docker CLI context when no socket path is set.
- My Daily Log: edit and delete logs, copy a day's logs as Markdown, a Log Reminder menu bar command, and a fix for logs landing on the wrong day (existing logs are migrated once, with a backup). Its summary commands now call a local or OpenAI-compatible model instead of Raycast AI.
- YouTrack: Windows support.
- Fixes: GitHub restores the My Repositories filter; Bitwarden Vault marks copied secrets as concealed and parses otpauth URIs that have no label; Quick Access saves pins before the window closes; Brew stops showing toasts from background menu bar refreshes; Obsidian Search Media no longer crashes without an argument; Home Assistant Quicklink search filters correctly; Everything quotes the path it passes to Explorer; System Monitor prevents overlapping menu bar collectors; Change Case shows an empty state when there is no text to convert.
Worth a Look
Signal 500 — by @gableend
Search a catalogue of 500 hand-scored news and expert sources, ranked on editorial quality, ad restraint, signal-to-noise, and independence, with the methodology published. Actions open a source's Signal 500 page or its site, or copy its feed URL for any RSS reader.
Nbnhhsh – Chinese Abbreviations — by @Astatine-213-Tian
An unofficial client for 能不能好好说话 ("nbnhhsh"), a crowd-sourced lookup for Chinese internet abbreviations written in pinyin initials. Paste abbreviations such as yysy or yyds and copy or paste one of the possible expansions.
Rubiks Cube Timer — by @nokoniko
A speedcubing timer with random 3×3 scrambles, session stats (best, ao5, ao12), and locally saved solves. It imports and exports the csTimer file format.
NUST Mess Menu — by @devvMuhammad
Shows today's and this week's hostel mess menu at NUST (the National University of Sciences and Technology in Pakistan), from a public community API, with an optional menu bar item for the next meal.
Updates to existing extensions:
- Video Downloader: fixes unlisted Vimeo links and a false live-stream error.
- MapleStory: character lookup works again, now using Nexon's rankings.
- Badges - Shields.io: an entry for getting 3D badge models.
Wrappers for Other Services
ArgoCD — by @PixiBixi
Argo CD is a GitOps continuous-delivery tool for Kubernetes; this extension searches applications and ApplicationSets across several Argo CD instances, then opens, inspects, or syncs them. A menu bar item counts degraded and out-of-sync apps. Instances are read-only unless writes are explicitly enabled.
Coast — by @jerichosequitin
A Raycast client for Coast, the Mac app that records a searchable history of what's been on screen. Search captured text, browse screenshots and timelines, review app and website usage, save searches, and jump back to a moment in Coast or its original URL. Coast must be installed and running.
Timeatlas — by @kvaishak
Built for people who use Time Atlas, the app that keeps a daily record of places, sleep, and steps. Add a note to any day, or open a summary of today's sleep, places, steps, distance, and notes. It reads the Time Atlas iCloud folder directly, so there are no API keys.
Jumpseat — by @Chefski
Connects Raycast to Jumpseat, a flight-tracking service for sharing trips with friends. Shows your upcoming flights (routes, gates, terminals, aircraft, and booking details) and friends' shared flights, and a menu bar item counts down to the next one with live status.
IconSearch SVG Icons — by @sg-2512
IconSearch is a search engine for more than 350,000 free SVG icons across named libraries and Iconify collections; the extension filters by library, style, and commercial-safety status, then copies or pastes the icon as SVG, React, Vue, Svelte, or a Tailwind mask at a chosen size and color. Requires a free IconSearch account.
Updates to existing wrappers:
- Dokploy: another long week for this client of Dokploy, the self-hostable deployment platform — new Deploy Service and Deployments commands, a Server Health menu bar command, deploy from template with preview, an instance switcher, Docker cleanup, schedules and Compose backups, follow mode and Compose support in View Logs, and frecency sorting.
- Sunsama: Sunsama is a daily planner; the extension adds a task details pane (notes, subtasks, time tracked, calendar slots), opens tasks by deep link, and stops showing yesterday's calendar events in today's list.
- Deepcast: Thai language support for this DeepL translation client.
- Clockify: the menu bar no longer refetches about 1.2 MB every 10 seconds while idle.
- Google Cloud CLI: suspended instances now offer Resume instead of Start.
- NetBird: the SSO login page opens once instead of twice for this client of NetBird, the WireGuard-based network VPN.
From Raycast
- Raycast 2.5 (September 25): Applications search now finds apps by their alternate names and Spotlight keywords; Settings warns when another app's Secure Input may interfere with Snippet Expansion or the Hyper Key; Script Commands wrap long lines in full output; Calculator currency conversions no longer use missing or outdated rates; and Clipboard History no longer hangs Adobe Illustrator. Extensions can now also supply their own AI models to AI Chat.
