This Week in Raycast — September 14 – 20, 2026
A busy week: new local developer tooling, a calculator that speaks plain English, and a heavy round of service-wrapper updates.
Productivity
Modbus Toolkit — by @TwoMental
A local developer utility for working with Modbus RTU, TCP, and ASCII frames. It parses requests and responses with function-specific validation, builds validated read/write frames, decodes register data across common numeric and byte-order formats, calculates and verifies CRC16/LRC checksums, and browses register types, function codes, and exception codes. Runs entirely offline with no account.
Soulver — by @BitForger
Solve math, currency conversions, unit conversions, date math, and natural-language equations from Raycast, powered by the Soulver CLI. The Solve Expression command evaluates an argument (or the current clipboard) and copies the result to the clipboard in a HUD. Requires the Soulver CLI to be installed.
Updates to existing productivity extensions:
- Safari: adds a Reopen Last Session command and a New Private Window command.
- GitHub Review Requests: adds reply tracking and optional GitHub CLI authentication.
- Create Link: adds clipboard hyperlinks for Slack.
- Port Manager: colours port tags by exposure with a matching exposure filter, shows the full command line in process details, and verifies that a killed process actually exited.
- OmniFocus: adds Planned Date support.
- Bitbucket: adds Approve / Decline / Request Changes actions for pull requests, plus faster Search All Open Pull Requests initialization.
- tmux-sessioner: adds a Save Tmux Sessions command.
- Toggl Track: adds a Quickstop Timer command.
- Google Chrome: sorts bookmark results by frecency.
- Arc: faster Search Tabs via batched space-tab-id lookups.
- Git: keeps interactive rebase reword messages literal and fixes PAGER/EDITOR "not permitted" errors.
- 2FAS Authenticator, ScreenOCR, and Kill Process: Windows support landed this week.
Worth a Look
Open Slide — by @ridemountainpig
Search slides across multiple deployed open-slide sites — matching speaker notes and slide content — then open the deck at the matching page or jump straight into presenter view. A side pane previews each deck's theme, folder, page count, and creation date.
Android Weekly — by @mibrahimdev
Browse the full Android Weekly newsletter archive (738 issues, 2011–today) with pagination and search, and read the latest issues as full text rendered in Markdown, grouped by section. One command, no setup or API keys.
Vitra — by @PTthe13
Shows where your day stands — readiness, sleep, and recovery from an Oura ring — measured against your own 30-day baseline rather than a population average. Vitra is a local-first desktop app: the data stays in a SQLite database on your machine, and the extension reads a published read-only file with no network calls of its own.
Updates to existing extensions:
- GIF Search: fixes pasting the wrong file (or none at all) and separates GIF resolution from copy/paste.
- Zotero: adds a Show PDF in Finder action.
- Fronius Inverter: expanded monitoring and reliability.
Wrappers for Other Services
Hule — by @hule-do
Hule is a task manager; this extension brings it into Raycast with four commands: Quick Add Task (one line into a default list), Create Task (the full form), Search Tasks (with a workspace picker), and My Tasks (grouped into Overdue / Today / Tomorrow / Later). From any list you can change status, priority, due date, and assignee. Authentication is a personal API token.
Postproxy — by @dmitrysereda
A Raycast client for Postproxy, the social-media API that publishes and schedules posts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram, and Google Business. Six commands cover a status snapshot, connected profiles, composing and scheduling posts, recent activity, and replying to comments, DMs, and Google Business reviews. Requires a Postproxy account and API key.
Updates to existing wrappers:
- Dokploy: a heavy week for this client of Dokploy, the open-source self-hostable deployment platform — new actions for database backups, domain creation, viewing environments, logs and domains, connection-string and password copy, and a deployment history view with rollback, cancel, and delete.
- Ploi: Ploi is a server-management and deployment service for provisioning and running VPS servers; this update adds an SSH terminal preference and fixes an empty list on paginated servers.
- Clockify: Clockify is a time-tracking service; this fixes stale menu-bar state and menu-bar actions doing nothing.
From Raycast
- Raycast 2.4 (September 14): a macOS "Golden Gate" compatibility release with new sidebars and toolbars, Liquid Glass updates, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
