This Week in Raycast — October 5 – October 11, 2026
Twenty-nine new extensions this week, including one for switching any macOS Focus mode and one for network drives, plus Bartender 7 support, Windows support for Aktar, and Raycast 2.7.
Productivity
Focus Modes — by @Kikks
Lists every macOS Focus mode — Do Not Disturb, Work, Sleep, Personal and your own — with its icon, marks the one that's on, and turns modes on or off. Turn On Focus takes a name as an argument, and Create Quicklink gives any Focus its own hotkey. Switching goes through a helper shortcut the extension builds in the Shortcuts app on first use, and reading the active mode needs Full Disk Access.
DriveWay — by @pankajpopli
Saves, mounts and unmounts network drives over SMB and WebDAV, with live connection status and disk usage. Discover Devices finds servers on the local network through Bonjour, a subnet scan and a ping sweep; Mount All, Unmount All, an opt-in Auto-Reconnect and a menu bar command cover the rest. Mounting works like Finder's Connect to Server, so Keychain credentials connect silently and the extension stores no passwords.
Menu Bar Icon Search — by @mguellsegarra
Searches the app icons on the right side of the menu bar by app or item name and opens the chosen one's menu, including icons hidden through macOS 27's Menu Bar settings, without revealing them. Needs Accessibility access and no separate app.
Battery Drain — by @MuratFe
A menu bar command shows the whole Mac's power draw in watts, battery time left, energy impact by app and what is keeping the Mac awake, and sends a notification about runaway processes. Diagnose Battery Drain adds a two-hour power chart, CPU by app and process over time (so "99% CPU for 22 hours" stands out), and sleep blockers traced to the app that started them, any of which can be ended after a confirmation. Nothing leaves the Mac.
Hide Details — by @0xdhrv
Redacts a screenshot on the clipboard using on-device text and face detection: email addresses, card and phone numbers, IP addresses, tokens, words you list and your own regex rules. Review the detections in a preview first or redact straight away with a hotkey, using blackout, pixelation or blur.
ASCII Kit — by @villemikkola
Turns selected or copied text into a plain-text diagram for anywhere that has code blocks — Slack, GitHub, Linear, a terminal. Compose Diagram previews 40 formats, from trees and tables to sequence diagrams, bar charts and Gantt charts, and suggests the likeliest first. Search Glyphs covers 234 box-drawing and arrow characters, and Diagram Templates has 38 starting skeletons. Everything runs locally.
Mise — by @lachieh
Commands for mise, the dev-tool version manager: search its registry and npm, cargo and gem packages and install globally, see installed and outdated tools with one-click upgrades (also in the menu bar), prune unused versions, clear the cache, and run global mise tasks.
Ghq Plus — by @windhorn
Searches every repository ghq manages and opens it in an editor or terminal, and clones new ones with ghq get over HTTPS or SSH, prefilled from a GitHub URL on the clipboard. It runs your own ghq binary, so multiple roots work.
Rake — by @kdmsnr
Searches and runs Rake tasks from a directory you choose, with a form for tasks that take arguments. The Rake executable can be a version-manager shim such as rbenv's.
Page Scanner — by @sbd530
Saves the front browser tab as a vector PDF with selectable text, or as a PNG or JPEG, then copies, reveals or opens the file, with an optional Markdown copy of the text. It works through the Page Scanner browser extension, version 1.3.0 or newer, which the Set Up command connects to.
Hostbeam — by @PunkAbeat
Drives Hostbeam, a free Mac app that copies the screenshot on your clipboard to a remote host over SSH and puts the remote path back on the clipboard, ready to paste into a terminal session there. Beam the clipboard or Finder selection, switch hosts, and browse recent beams with thumbnails.
Microsoft To Do via ms-todo — by @bhekanik
Quick add, fuzzy search, smart views (Today, Overdue, Important) and My Day for Microsoft To Do, read and written through the open-source ms-todo command-line tool and its local cache, so it works offline and needs no second Microsoft sign-in. A follow-up added guided setup for installing the CLI and signing in.
Hora Calendar — by @szamski
The official extension for the hora Mac calendar app: create an event from a description, start a meeting from a sentence and refine it in hora, add Google Tasks with a due date, and join the next meeting in the right account. Needs hora 1.1.5 or newer.
Octarine — by @aerz
Searches notes across your Octarine workspaces, grouped by workspace, with previews; opens notes in Octarine and attachments in their default apps; and browses Daily Desk notes or opens one by date.
HL7 Preview — by @daanmlab
Shows a pasted HL7 v2 message — the format lab and hospital systems exchange — as one readable document: header, patient, orders, results with abnormal flags and reference ranges, and every segment with named fields. Copies a field or the whole message as JSON. Saving past views is off by default because messages contain patient data.
Local Time Tracker — by @yoshinyan
Start and stop timers by project, with optional task descriptions, custom categories, editable work logs, a menu bar timer, and daily, weekly and monthly reports. Data stays in Raycast's local storage.
Updates to existing productivity extensions:
- Proton Pass: Login with Browser no longer ends logged out when the extension is reopened right after signing in, and the login finishes even if Raycast closes; a Logout action, a Check Again action (⌘R) on Not Logged In screens, item counts per vault, an icon for shared vaults, and preferences for every Generate Password default.
- Bartender: works with Bartender 7. Its menu bar item IDs changed, so pinned items, shortcuts and Quicklinks made with older versions need to be recreated.
- Aktar: Windows support with Aktar for Windows; thumbnails for videos, PDFs, documents and files in private buckets; Replace File swaps the file behind a shared link; uploads default to an Automatic destination chosen by file type; and the extension checks it is talking to Aktar before sending its token.
- Proton Mail: emails display as clean text with link labels instead of tracking URLs, remote images are off by default, Open Original in Browser (⌘⇧O) shows the full HTML, Delete now moves to Trash, and Open in Proton Mail opens the email itself instead of a subject search.
- Color Picker: saved colors can be sorted into named groups, nested with a slash (
Work/Calendar), and a group can be copied as a list, JSON, CSS classes or CSS variables. - Digger: View Sitemap is a searchable list that reaches into child sitemaps; with no URL given, Digger uses the selected text, the clipboard or the current tab; and two new commands dig the current tab or the clipboard.
- Jira Time Tracking: Jira Cloud issue search works again, and a new View Logged Time command shows monthly totals and reminders for short days, with edit, delete and log-more actions.
- TypeWhisper: new commands for the TypeWhisper dictation app — Dictate with Workflow, Toggle Recording and Show Last Recording for meetings, Add Dictionary Term, Manage Dictionary and Switch Model — plus support for the API token TypeWhisper 1.8.0 requires.
- Simple Draw: Box, Oval and Arrow tools with solid, dashed or dotted lines, B/O/A shortcuts, and Shift to draw squares and circles or snap arrows to 45°.
- OneNote: search covers note content as well as titles, and loading failures show the actual error with a Retry action instead of "OneNote is not installed".
- Ejection Seat: scans every volume on the same physical disk, since
diskutil ejecttakes them together, hides system helper volumes the way Finder does, and only reports an eject once the volume is gone. - Search Router: the engine trigger prefix is configurable, and can be left blank so
yt funny videosworks without the!. - TickTick: Quick Add Task recognizes dates, priorities, tags and lists in the task title; it can be turned off in preferences.
- DNS Quick Change: changes DNS on the physical adapter when a VPN tunnel holds the default route, and presets can be found by typing a DNS address such as
1.1.1.1. - Obsidian Bookmarks: favorites pinned above search results (⌘⇧F); editing keeps frontmatter fields the extension doesn't manage; and URLs that differ only in query parameters are no longer treated as duplicates.
- Korean Add Calendar: up to three events or reminders from one Korean sentence, and daily, weekly or monthly recurring Calendar events.
- Link Commands: an opt-in preference starts website command titles with the site (
claude.ai · Usage), and the Package suggestion uses the site's own name. - Font Converter: converts OTF fonts to TTF, WOFF, WOFF2 and EOT, and adds a file picker on Windows.
- Webhook Sender: Enter sends a saved webhook and shows the response.
- Google Search: an optional Query argument, and a fix for the "Premature close" error toast while typing.
- Mozilla VPN Connect: a VPN Status menu bar command and a Manage Account action, plus Raycast AI tools for connecting and switching servers.
- Fetch: failed downloads no longer leave
.part.statefiles behind, and Download History offers Retry Download and Download Again again. - Media Switcher: on Windows, a detail panel with album art and video thumbnails, pinned apps, and play/pause confirmations in under a second.
- Fixes: Arc Access Spaces and Favorites no longer launches Arc in the background every 10 minutes, and Search Tabs keyboard navigation no longer skips History; Apple Mail refreshes mailboxes one at a time instead of starting hundreds of
osascriptprocesses; Apple Reminders menu bar actions no longer fail with "Worker unloaded"; Slack user search no longer loads forever in large workspaces; massCode works with massCode 5.11 and later; Spotify Controls Previous Track needs one press; Asana date-only deadlines no longer show a day early; Xcode opens simulators in the system's default viewer; Zed closes Raycast as soon as a project starts opening; Obsidian Quick Capture only writes to Markdown files and keeps multi-line captures in one item; Music Add to Playlist works for songs not in the library; Music Recognition Identify Song works on macOS 27; Home Assistant entity lists no longer crash on never-pressed buttons; Tunnelblick lists configurations again; Lark Documents loads on Raycast 2.7; Excel Formula Beautifier loads in Raycast 2; Date Format Converter shows the current date when the input is empty; WordReference translations load again; Brand Icons applies icon pack updates without restarting Raycast; Qobuz media keys work again; rhttp always shows Remove Header; TablePro shows access and query errors and adds an MCP Port preference; Say Stop works on Windows; System Status Internet details no longer crash with a single IP address; Raycast Wallpaper sets HEIC wallpapers on Windows without hitting the memory limit.
Worth a Look
Foqus League — by @filipimiparebine
Stats for Raycast Focus sessions: hours, streaks, a weekly league from Bronze to Diamond by hours focused, a 26-week calendar, and a recap card for any period to copy or save as an image. The Menu Bar Stats command records sessions and starts recent goals with their own block lists; a follow-up made it offer to turn itself on rather than run silently. Data stays on the Mac.
Charter — by @aicayzer
A catalog of 48 chart and diagram types with thumbnails, viewed through a Mermaid, shadcn (Recharts) or Apache ECharts lens. Each type has an example, a docs link and copy actions, including shadcn install commands.
Updates to existing extensions:
- Arc Helper: updated for the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update — the Pendola Pass map, crafting recipes, recycling and trader prices on items, ARC loot drops, Ermal's barter offers, quests grouped by trader, and a rarity filter.
- Pokédex: item buy and sell prices, base stats for alternate forms, one table per evolution stage, and Pokémon GO sprite variants.
- Hacker News Top Stories: read stories sync between Macs through iCloud Drive, the menu bar keeps showing stories while it refreshes, and Raycast AI tools summarize unread stories with their top comments.
- Techgedöns.de: an optional menu bar command with the unread count and latest articles of the German tech blog, a Search Selected Text command, and actions to copy an article as a Markdown link.
- Video Downloader: a Fast Remux preference, on by default, packages downloaded streams without re-encoding them, and the progress toast no longer sticks at "Formatting Video: 100%".
- Cobalt: downloads work again with instances running cobalt API v11.
- Windows support: Bilibili Search and Minecraft Color Codes.
Wrappers for Other Services
RevenueCat — by @samuelkraft
RevenueCat handles in-app subscriptions for mobile apps; this extension shows a project's revenue, subscription, trial and customer metrics, daily revenue history, each customer's subscriptions and events, and products and offerings. It signs in with OAuth, switches projects with ⌘P, and has a demo mode with sample data.
Synci — by @matiastonning
A Raycast client for Synci, which connects bank and investment accounts in one place. Search transactions and export them as CSV, view balances with charts and copyable bank details, inspect holdings, break down recent spending by merchant or category, and optionally keep selected balances in the menu bar. Access is read-only, on macOS and Windows.
Simplebanking — by @klotzbrocken
Built for people who use simplebanking, a German menu bar banking app for the Mac. It shows the balances, last 30 days of transactions and monthly income and spending the app has already fetched, through the CLI inside the app, so the extension holds no credentials and makes no network requests. Refresh Accounts is the one command that asks the app to contact the bank.
Screvi — by @pedroaraujo74
Connects Raycast to Screvi, a reading app that collects highlights from Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, the web and podcasts. Search highlights by meaning as well as keyword, triage the article library between inbox, Later and archive, browse books and sources, and save the current tab or a copied link.
Tweek Task Manager — by @ErdemOzbaykus
Tweek is a weekly planner with someday lists; this extension shows today's, upcoming, overdue and someday tasks across calendars, creates tasks singly or in bulk, and has a Quick Add command that reads @date and #color tokens. A follow-up added a monthly calendar view.
Upload-Post — by @mutonby
For Upload-Post, a publishing API that posts to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky and other networks in one request. Create Post publishes or schedules text, photo and video posts from a file or URL, with commands for scheduled posts, upload history and connected profiles.
LinkPilot — by @tobywmiller
Two commands for the LinkPilot link service: Create Secret Link encrypts a password or note on your machine and returns a link that works once and then destroys itself, with the key kept out of the server's reach; Shorten Link shortens the URL on the clipboard. A free plan is available.
Linqlo — by @mountain1009
Linqlo is a bookmark manager; the extension searches, opens and copies saved bookmarks, saves the URL on the clipboard to a collection with a title and note, and opens collections. Works with a free account.
Happy Squid — by @Schlumpi07
The official extension for Happy Squid, a website blocker that keeps unrelated sites blocked until the task you described is done. Start, pause, lock or complete tasks, restart bookmarked and recent ones, and see the time left from Raycast's root search. The blocking happens in Happy Squid's browser extensions and apps.
Apex Connect+ — by @AdvaitT17
Controls a smart home running ApexOS: search and control lights, covers, climate, media players, cameras and other entities, with live updates over WebSocket and menu bar widgets for status. It switches between home-network and cloud addresses based on the Wi-Fi network.
QRZ Lookup — by @DL5MN
Looks up amateur radio callsigns on QRZ.com, the callsign database, showing name, address, grid locator, CQ and ITU zones and QSL options. Needs a QRZ.com account; an XML Logbook Data subscription returns more fields.
Updates to existing wrappers:
- Trakt Manager: new Discover, Search People, Lists, Dropped Shows and Calendar commands for Trakt, the watch-history tracker, plus a Similar Titles action, rating titles from search, and Not Interested on recommendations.
- Railway Project Search: open a project on Railway, the app hosting platform, to see its services with deployments, logs, variables, domains and metrics; redeploy, restart or remove deployments; plus a Show Usage command and a Last Deploy menu bar command. The API token moved to the extension preferences and may need to be entered again.
- HideMail: Windows support, an optional note when quick-creating an alias, and notes, an active/inactive filter and a details panel in List All Emails.
- Cloudflare R2 File Uploader: optional WebP conversion through
cwebpbefore upload. - FreeAgent: Create Task fills in the billing rate and period from the selected project.
- Raynab: the payee is optional when creating or scheduling a YNAB transaction.
- Mercury: downloading a statement no longer writes the API token to temporary files.
From Raycast
- Raycast 2.7 (October 9, macOS and Windows): on macOS, AI Chat, Notes and Settings each run in their own process, so a busy chat no longer slows Root Search, and the launcher uses up to 35% less memory when idle. File Search uses up to 80% less peak memory, searches up to 30% faster, skips development caches such as
.venv, and shows image dimensions. Root Search ranks whole-word and exact title matches higher, Page Up and Page Down work in lists and grids, files copied in Finder or File Explorer can be pasted into file pickers, Script Commands get per-script background refresh controls, and Clipboard History can save Universal Clipboard items from iPhone or iPad. Auto Quit no longer quits apps like Slack during calls on macOS 27. On Windows, new system commands manage Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and toggle Wi-Fi, Energy Saver and camera access for all apps. AI additions include Send Element to AI and web tools for custom AI providers.
