This Week in Raycast — October 12 – October 18, 2026

Thirty-six new extensions this week, including one that fixes text typed in the wrong keyboard layout, a plain-language time zone converter and a charger wattage readout, plus a Next Reminder command for Apple Reminders, an expanded Fantasy Premier League and Raycast 2.8.

Productivity

Retype - Fix Wrong Keyboard Layout Text — by @SpadarShut

Converts text typed in the wrong keyboard layout into the right one and switches the system input source to match. Select the text (or nothing, and it takes the line up to the cursor) and press the hotkey; the source layout is detected from the key maps of your enabled macOS layouts, so it works with any layout, custom .keylayout files and more than two layouts. A follow-up made it type the corrected text instead of pasting it, so it works in Chrome and leaves the clipboard alone.

Yet Another Timezone Tool — by @alexbartok

Type a time or a meeting window the way you'd say it — 15-17 sf, tomorrow 9 utc, thu 17 et, 9 sf 90m — and Convert Time shows it in every saved location, with business-hours colors, zone abbreviations and offsets. ⌘↵ copies all rows as one line for pasting into a chat, ⌘I shows an hour strip, and ⌘←/→ move the time. Manage Locations draws on 140,000 bundled places with airport and UN/LOCODE codes, so lookups work offline, and a Menu Bar Clock shows selected locations.

Watt's up — by @mrmartineau

Shows the wattage, voltage and current your Mac has negotiated with its charger, along with charge level, battery health, cycle count and temperature; a menu bar command shows the wattage when plugged in or the charge level on battery. Show Energy Impact ranks apps by Activity Monitor's energy score, and Manage Energy Settings toggles Low Power Mode and Power Nap, shows display and system sleep timers and lists the processes preventing sleep. No network access.

Dock Badges — by @mrpunkin

For people who hide the Dock: a menu bar item shows the total notification badge count of your Dock apps, with a dropdown of the badged apps to open, and View Notifications lists them in Raycast. Icon style, hiding the item when nothing is waiting and a list of ignored apps are configurable. A follow-up reads the Dock through the Accessibility API with a native helper, so each badge opens the exact app it belongs to and a beta and release of the same app can be ignored separately.

Chrome Profile Links — by @H-Tadashi

Saves links together with the Google Chrome profile they should open in, or set to ask for a profile each time, with ⌘↵ to open any link in another profile. Create Profile Link fills in the front tab's URL, title and profile; Search Profile Links also lists every profile's Chrome bookmarks and opens each in the profile it belongs to, and any link can become a Raycast quicklink (⌘⇧Q).

Email Subaddresses & Aliases — by @jnbp

Builds a per-site email alias from the current browser tab and copies or pastes it: [email protected] on account.bvg.de becomes [email protected], or [email protected] with a catch-all domain. Generate Email Alias is meant for a hotkey; Build Email Alias is a form with an account picker, a live preview and optional date or random suffixes so aliases can't be guessed.

Caps Lock — by @itsdanielsultan

One command that toggles the macOS Caps Lock state for people who have remapped the physical key to Hyper, Escape, Control or something else, and shows the confirmed state in a HUD. It doesn't change key mappings or simulate key presses.

LAN File Share — by @shaomai98

Starts a sharing session on the local network and shows a link and QR code; anyone nearby opens it in a browser, with nothing to install, and both sides can add and remove files, folders and text in one shared list. The browser page previews images, PDFs, video and audio, downloads selections or whole folders as a streamed zip, and takes resumable uploads into ~/Downloads. The service stops when Raycast quits.

QuickAdd for Obsidian — by @chhoumann

The official extension for QuickAdd, the Obsidian plugin for captures, templates and macros, from the plugin's author. Run QuickAdd Choice lists every choice and answers its prompts as Raycast forms, with [[ and # completing notes and tags from the vault; Quick Capture, Capture Selection and Capture Clipboard send text straight to a capture choice. Needs Obsidian 1.12 with its command-line interface turned on.

Snapset — by @nisiseiya

Apply Layout and Save Layout commands for Snapset, a paid Mac app that saves and restores a whole workspace: open apps, window positions across displays and Spaces, browser tabs and Finder folders. Apply Layout lists the layouts saved for the displays currently connected; the app does the window work, so Raycast needs no Accessibility permission.

Proton Drive — by @bst1n

Browse, search, open, download and upload files in Proton Drive, Proton's encrypted cloud storage, through the official Proton Drive CLI. Search Files moves folder by folder with a detail panel and sort options, and searches the whole Drive once an optional local index is built; Upload Files sends the Finder selection to a Drive folder. Sign-in happens in the CLI, so the extension never handles credentials.

Value Vault — by @seppealaerts

A local store for values you reuse — server URLs, contact emails, config snippets, colors — saved under a label with the type (URL, email, JSON, number, color or text) detected automatically. Browse Values searches them and copies, pastes into the front app or copies as JSON.

Clocky - Time Tracker — by @jeffnawroth

Tracks work hours against daily and weekly targets for flexible schedules: Clock In, Clock Out and Toggle Pause (breaks are subtracted), Today and Week views with the balance against your target, a menu bar status with hints when you probably forgot to clock in or out, and Adjust Entries for editing sessions. Data stays local.

Goose 2FA — by @eachann1024

A local TOTP and HOTP authenticator: add accounts from a pasted secret or by scanning a QR code in a screenshot or image, search and copy or paste codes, organize groups and trash, and export an account as a QR code, setup link or secret. An optional shared JSON vault is compatible with Goose 2FA for uTools; shared files and backups store secrets in plain text.

DayCal - Google Calendar — by @JonahTweed

A Google Calendar schedule and menu bar command, each with its own choice of visible calendars, plus Quick Add commands for timed and all-day events routed to calendars you assign Personal, Work, Shared or Family roles. Events can be edited, moved, copied, deleted or joined. It talks to the Google Calendar API directly, without Apple Calendar or a DayCal server.

Convt — by @0xdhrv

Converts the selected Finder files, or files you pick, between image, video, audio, PDF and document formats through the Convt app, with options for output folder, quality, image size, PDF pages and DPI, and actions to open or copy the results. A follow-up shows the detected file types and suggests common output formats first. Needs Convt 0.4.0 or newer; macOS and Windows.

Pele — by @0xdhrv

Renders Mermaid code from the selection, the clipboard or a built-in editor into a diagram with Pele, an open-source Mermaid-to-SVG renderer that runs locally with no API key or Mermaid CLI. Preview in light, dark or Flexoki themes with an optional transparent background, copy the image, save PNG or SVG, or start from examples for flowcharts, sequence, class, state and ER diagrams. macOS and Windows.

Text Counter — by @MatrixA

Counts words, characters, sentences, paragraphs and lines in the selected text (or the clipboard), with reading time. Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as words and CJK sentence endings are recognized, and emoji count as one character. Results copy as text, Markdown or JSON, and it also estimates GPT token counts and costs.

Fake Data Generator — by @joachimba

Generates test data that passes checksum validation: IBANs for 50 countries with a matching BIC, VAT numbers for the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway, US, Australian and New Zealand tax IDs, payment and Stripe test cards, and people, companies, emails and phone numbers per country. Emails use reserved domains and phone numbers reserved fictional ranges where they exist.

Company Logos — by @mrzmyr

A searchable grid of 64 company logos, found by name, domain or product alias, plus lookup for any other domain; copy a logo as a PNG, paste it into the front app or copy its URL. Logos are fetched as favicons from Google and cached for seven days, with no API key.

Motion Rosetta — by @gersonsebastianx

Convert Easing takes a pasted easing curve or spring — CSS keywords, cubic Bézier, linear()/steps(), Motion springs, SwiftUI timing curves and springs, Tailwind or Compose snippets — and copies its equivalent for Figma, CSS, Motion, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Tailwind or DTCG tokens. Each output is labeled Exact, Sampled, Lossy or Unavailable, and presets show a response curve and an animated preview.

PR Canary — by @liranmizrahi1

Lists your open pull requests in a GitHub repository and opens the preview environment URL that CI posts as a PR comment, with actions to copy it, open the pull request or open a second link from the same comments, such as a deploy dashboard. A CI Comment Author preference limits which account's comments are trusted.

Tethered — by @Tumerit

Commands for Tethered, a power-management and automation app for the Mac: switch between Auto, Low and High Power modes, start timed or preset Caffeinate sessions, apply saved profiles, toggle Topup, Sailing and Heat Protection, run a battery calibration cycle and show live status. Some actions need Tethered Pro.

HarborDrop — by @hjm79

Two commands for HarborDrop, a paid macOS download manager: Search Downloads shows active downloads with progress and speed plus history, and selects a download in the app or reveals the file in Finder; Add Download sends a URL to HarborDrop. Needs HarborDrop 1.4.15 or newer with its Raycast integration turned on.

Kaiku — by @gabry-ts

Controls Kaiku, a macOS app that records and transcribes calls on the Mac with no subscription: start, stop or pause a recording, add a bookmark and mute every microphone. Search Calls finds past calls by title, tag, source or anything said in the transcript, then opens the call, copies its transcript or reveals its folder.

Aven — by @leodnlv

Adds tasks to aven, the local-first command-line and TUI task manager, from a form with workspace, project and status dropdowns read from the aven CLI and an optional Markdown description. Default workspace and project can be set in preferences.

Updates to existing productivity extensions:

  • Apple Reminders: a new Next Reminder command keeps the next timed reminder and its countdown in its root search subtitle (add it to Favorites to see it when Raycast opens); Menu Bar Reminders can show the next reminder in the menu bar title the way Raycast shows calendar events, hide itself when nothing is due, and follow several lists instead of one.
  • Music: a View Recommendations command shows your Apple Music recommendations as a grid of albums, playlists and songs, with Add to Library and play or shuffle; Rewind and Fast Forward commands skip 15 seconds; and the Menu Bar Player can show the current album's cover art, with the icon, track title and artist each optional.
  • Proton Mail: a Mailboxes screen lists system mailboxes, folders and labels with unread counts; the list is full width with Today, Yesterday and month sections and loads older emails on scroll; search covers the whole folder on the server; mark read, archive and delete update the list in place; and a status screen waits for Proton Mail Bridge when it isn't running.
  • Telegram: sign-in uses a QR code, with 2-Step Verification password support, instead of a phone number and SMS code, and a saved session Telegram has rejected is cleared with a sign-in prompt instead of failing with AUTH_KEY_UNREGISTERED.
  • Browser Bookmarks: a search for "bar", "book" or "mark" no longer returns every bookmark in a Chromium browser's bookmarks bar, and a Search Strictness preference (Loose, Balanced or Strict) keeps short queries from matching unrelated words.
  • Google Meet: meetings can be created inside a Google Meet Safari web app (File → Add to Dock) without opening a browser tab, and each saved profile can choose whether its meetings open in the preferred browser, the Meet web app or the extension-wide setting.
  • Easy OCR: an OCR Engine preference adds Apple Vision, the engine behind macOS Live Text, which needs no Tesseract install and reads small Arabic captures Tesseract returned empty, with an Apple Vision Languages preference such as ar-SA,en-US; screenshot capture also works when the path contains spaces.
  • Hue: tiles look more like the Hue app, with its colors, brightness shading and room and zone icons; the extension reconnects on its own after sleep or a network change, finds the bridge again when its IP address changes and shows changes from the Hue app without reopening the command. Increase and Decrease Color Temperature are renamed Make Cooler and Make Warmer, and Raycast AI tools can control lights, rooms, zones and scenes.
  • Home Assistant: a menu bar command for air conditioners shows how many are running, their state and room and target temperatures, with power, temperature, HVAC mode, fan, swing and preset controls based on what each device supports, plus a Toggle AC Menu command.
  • Connect to VPN: Toggle Last Used reports a missing or unavailable VPN instead of failing silently, a new action picks the VPN it toggles without connecting first, favorites stay attached to their service when macOS reorders network services, services can be searched by type, and the menu bar tooltip names connected VPNs.
  • System Monitor: a compact layout — a sectioned list (Overview, CPU, Memory, Disk, Power, Network) with colored percentage tags, one Disk row per mounted volume, and per-core CPU usage labeled by performance and efficiency cluster on Apple Silicon.
  • Reader Mode: opens links to Markdown files and reads a page's Markdown version when it offers one, reads the full article on sites that show a teaser but ship the text in the page's data (the Business Journals sites, The Atlantic), mistakes fewer complete articles for paywalled ones, and no longer runs out of memory summarizing a long article.
  • Passbolt: the Authenticator downloads secrets only for TOTP entries, shows the first codes while the rest of the vault loads, includes password-plus-TOTP entries it used to leave out and pastes a code with ⌘↵; search covers names, usernames, every URL, tags and notes, and resources without a name no longer crash Search Passwords.
  • Figma File Search: lists files in nested folders when signed in with a personal access token that has the folders:read scope, shows each folder's full path and finds files by any folder name in it, and one failed folder no longer discards the whole refresh.
  • Year in Progress: a dedicated Year in Progress command to add to Favorites, a Command Progress dropdown to pick which period or custom range the command subtitles show, Windows support for inline progress and custom date ranges, and fixed quarter percentages.
  • Local Time Tracker: optional Pomodoro work and break intervals with a menu bar countdown, an alert when a work timer passes a set number of minutes, a Reports dashboard with totals, session counts, project mix and 7- and 35-day activity charts, and start and end times editable in 1-minute steps with the arrow keys.
  • Shortcuts Search: when the current app or site has no shortcuts the command stays open and explains why, with an action to copy the app identifier; failed shortcuts give the specific reason; and the frontmost browser is detected without System Events automation access.
  • Random Data Generator: custom items built from a Faker template, such as a random number within a range or a name and email combined into one string, with a live preview; they can be pinned, edited and used in quicklinks like built-in items, and Raycast AI can write the template from a description.
  • Google Translate: Quick Translate reads the current selection on every launch instead of restoring the previous input, and translations no longer fail when an HTTP proxy is configured.
  • macOS Tweaks: a Dim Hidden Apps tweak makes the Dock icon of an app hidden with ⌘H translucent, and Disable .DS_Store on USB Volumes is removed because macOS 27 no longer reads its setting.
  • Hide Details: the review view has Don't Redact and Redact actions for each detection plus Redact All Detections, and a Configure What to Hide form with checkboxes replaces typing comma-separated category names.
  • Coffee: a "Prevent system sleep on AC power" preference adds caffeinate -s, which keeps the Mac from sleeping while it's plugged in.
  • Clean Keyboard: a Default Duration preference makes Lock Keyboard lock as soon as it opens, so a hotkey locks without picking a duration.
  • Safari: a Duplicate Tab command opens a copy of the current tab right after it.
  • GitHub: an optional Open Issue in Browser preference opens each issue made with Create Issue in the default browser.
  • Terminal Finder: support for the Tern terminal (Clipboard → Tern, Finder → Tern, Tern → Finder and the X → Y dropdowns), and cmux → Finder no longer opens Finder's AirDrop window.
  • Privacy Mask: the masked text goes on the clipboard as soon as it is ready and again after every change, and ⌘V in the window starts over on whatever is on the clipboard now.
  • paste.rs: a Language dropdown and a Default Language preference give pastes a highlighted URL such as https://paste.rs/<id>.rs, and a new Paste Selected Text command uploads the selection after a confirmation.
  • Defuddle: Get Markdown suggests the URLs of open browser tabs through the Raycast browser extension, page extraction times out after 30 seconds and stops when you leave the view, and Defuddle is updated to a release with a security fix.
  • Aktar: uploads get a short link from the shortener set up for their destination in Aktar (Shlink, YOURLS, Kutt, Dub, Short.io or a custom request), and Search Uploads shows each short link's clicks and adds Copy Short Link (⌘⇧L), Copy Original Link and Create Short Link.
  • JSON Resume: both commands render every section of a JSON Resume file, including projects, volunteer work, awards, certificates, publications, interests and references, using the current schema's field names while still reading the older ones.
  • IBM Bob: Search Recent Projects lists projects again, reading the history from the location IBM Bob now uses, and a Bob Version preference points every command at IBM Bob Insiders.
  • Zoomer: commands no longer bring the Zoomer screenshot app's main window to the front; Zoomer shows a window only when the command needs one.
  • Pomodoro: a 52-minute work and 17-minute break interval option.
  • Fixes: Text Replacements no longer fails with "stdout maxBuffer length exceeded" on large replacement sets; Browser Tabs no longer hides every tab when one Safari tab has no URL; BusyCal Create Event and Create Task with a due time no longer fail with "Could not parse startDate"; Apple Mail background refresh no longer opens Mail when it is closed; Bear Notes search is case-insensitive for non-Latin text such as Cyrillic; Visual Studio Code Open Agents Window, remote workspaces and extension installs no longer fail with spawnSync ENOENT; 2FA Code Finder no longer reports a CSS color such as #999999 in HTML-only emails as the code; Tmux Sessioner Save Tmux Sessions no longer gets stuck on "Waiting for an in-progress save…"; Antinote shows a message instead of crashing when its database doesn't exist yet; Obsidian Bookmarks keeps the window open after deleting a bookmark; Obsidian Smart Capture no longer crashes when a vault sits on an offline network share or cloud drive; Image Modification produces output for images under a home folder on another volume; Android Screen Capture finds adb installed with Homebrew; Night Light finds the nightlight CLI under either Homebrew prefix and says how to install it when it is missing; Redis outdated searches no longer replace newer results; Time Show Time displays the time as soon as it opens; WIP to-do searches cancel when the query changes; Proton Pass opens the extension preferences when pass-cli isn't found; on Windows, Windows Terminal finds wt.exe when its alias isn't on the PATH and supports portable installs, Everything says "Everything is not running" instead of showing a cut-off command line, and Zed opens WSL projects that use the distribution's default user.

Morgen Calendar — by @Maxaccurate

Built for Windows users of Morgen, the daily planner that brings calendars and task managers into one app. Create timed or all-day events in connected calendars, browse upcoming events across accounts and edit or delete them, and create, edit, complete and delete Morgen's own tasks with a due date, priority and estimated duration. Windows only.

WeBeep — by @mattiacolombomc

For students and staff of Politecnico di Milano, whose courses run on WeBeep, the university's Moodle site. Search enrolled courses and drill into their sections and files, search materials across courses and download them, open lecture recordings and virtual classrooms, and read announcements, notifications and upcoming deadlines.

Cronitor — by @xmok

Connects Raycast to Cronitor, a monitoring service for cron jobs, scheduled tasks and websites, and lists your Cronitor monitors with an API key.

Updates to existing wrappers:

  • RevenueCat: a Menu Bar Metrics command on macOS keeps one dashboard metric from RevenueCat, the in-app subscription platform (MRR by default, or active subscriptions, trials, new or active customers), in the menu bar, with the rest grouped in its menu, click-to-copy values, project switching and a five-minute refresh.
  • MOCO: the menu bar for MOCO, the time-tracking and project-management tool for agencies, shows today's total, stops or continues the current timer, lists today's activities for adding, editing and deleting, and starts timers from favorite tasks, plus new Start New Timer and Edit Current / Last Active Timer commands. The API key is no longer written to the log, and bookings no longer land on the previous day shortly after midnight.
  • TinyFish Search: the extension for TinyFish's web search API grows from a single search into news and research-paper search with date and domain filters, a Fetch Pages command that reads up to 10 URLs as Markdown, HTML or JSON, Saved Searches, a Reading List with offline copies and Markdown export, and Read Current Tab; it also signs in with a TinyFish account instead of an API key.
  • ArgoCD: single sign-on into ArgoCD, the GitOps deployment tool for Kubernetes, works on instances that log in through ArgoCD's bundled Dex (GitHub, LDAP or SAML connectors), and no longer fails with "localhost refused to connect" when the browser login takes longer than Raycast's Pop to Root Search delay.
  • Litterbox: a new Upload Selected Finder Files command for Litterbox, the temporary file host, and both upload commands check every file against the 1 GB limit and blocked file types before a batch starts.
  • Kaneo: custom fields when creating tasks and in task details for Kaneo, the open-source, self-hostable project management tool.
  • Shiori: Search Links in the Shiori bookmark service pages past the first 100 bookmarks and keeps loaded pages in place after marking read, editing or deleting.

  • Fixes: Immich, for the self-hosted Immich photo library, opens albums again on newer servers, loading photos 100 at a time as you scroll; Amazon AWS DynamoDB, Secrets Manager and other commands no longer fail with "Cannot read properties of undefined"; Drug Search searches only brand, generic and active-ingredient names on openFDA and shows an empty state when nothing matches; Shopify Shop Browse Shop loads more products as you scroll; FocusTask, for the FocusTask task manager, adds a detail view to Search Tasks and reports failed task creation instead of success.

From Raycast

  • Raycast 2.8 (October 16, macOS and Windows): a release focused on speed. File Search returns results up to 6× faster, handles typos better and indexes with less CPU; Root Search and other lists scroll up to 2× faster; extension installs and updates are about 4× faster on average; and Raycast starts with about 20% less memory. Raycast honors HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY and NO_PROXY for all traffic, Emoji & Symbols adds Greek letters, ⌘-clicking a parent to-do in Notes toggles its nested to-dos, and on macOS Calendar can join Gong meetings. Fixes include snippets expanding in Save File dialogs, self-hiding menu bar items staying hidden after a restart, File Search picking up changes made while Raycast was closed, and Switch to Previous/Next Space on macOS 27. On Windows, Root Search groups commands by extension when the search field is empty, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi commands are hidden on PCs without an adapter, and Raycast recovers on its own if the WebView2 process crashes. AI Chat changes include clearer labels for skills and MCP tools and a clearer message at the weekly Claude usage limit.
