- A pedestrian killed on Route 7 in Sterling now has a name. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office identified Shawneil Clarke Alexander, 24, of Sterling, struck near Route 7 and Palisades Parkway Saturday night. The driver stayed on the scene, and the crash remains under investigation. WTOP
- A Woodbridge stabbing left a 27-year-old dead and a relative charged with murder. Prince William County police found Maliek Raykwon Harrington with stab wounds inside a home on Whitaker Place early Sunday. Ryheim Darnel Harrington, 25, is charged with second-degree murder and held without bond. WTOP
- A McLean daycare teacher faces assault charges over two toddlers. Fairfax County police say Wafa Abdelhafiz Abdalla, 61, pushed one 2-year-old to the floor and struck another in the head at Faz Creative Education Learning Center. She was charged with two counts of assault and battery and released on a summons. WTOP

- The National Park Service backs Trump's proposed arch near Memorial Bridge, even as it flags the damage. A Friday report says the 250-foot arch disrupts sightlines between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, more than expected. - Fairfax cleared the way to turn a mostly empty Reston office park into a neighborhood. The Board of Supervisors amended its comprehensive plan to allow up to 1,250 homes with retail at Lake Fairfax Business Park, where six of seven office buildings sit vacant. - Dulles is getting nonstop flights to France and Italy in 2027. United will launch daily year-round service to Toulouse starting April 26, 2027, plus a Milan route, as part of its largest international expansion. The Toulouse flights will use the airline's new Airbus A321XLR. Secret DC
- Ashburn's new Wonder multi-restaurant put its name on the building. Temporary signage went up at the Broadlands Village Center space, the former Bonefish Grill. The brand runs 20-plus virtual menus under one kitchen and already has Leesburg and Sterling locations. The Burn
