Lift up Your Voice - Community Hymn Sing
This hymn can be sung to the tune used for
Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus
Father, hear the prayer we offer:
Not for ease that prayer shall be,
But for strength that we may ever
Live our lives courageously.
Not for ever in green pastures
Do we ask our way to be;
But the steep and rugged pathway
May we tread rejoicingly.
Not for ever by still waters
Would we idly rest and stay;
But would smite the living fountains
From the rocks along the way.
Be our strength in hours of weakness
In our wand’rings be our guide;
Through endeavor, failure, danger,
Father, be there at our side.

Update
Well, well, well, we’ve managed to get all five PODS emptied and back into our building. Massive thank-you to Joseph B., Ann, Noel, and Belle for your amazing help! It made such a difference to us to have you come out! A big merci to Stephen and Luke who worked like dogs - my boys, I love you.
We are not unpacking everything, but we are trying to have enough of our belongings to live comfortably and present well enough for real estate showings. There is much to do, but we’re going step-by-step.
I’m going to work on painting a few more rooms in between setting up.
I’m not in the full swing of this newsletter yet as we get settled back in, but I’ll continue to send a cobbled version to you as I can.
What a joy to meet Lisa L.’s fiancé and to have a beautiful visit with them in the midst of our boxes. Please pray for their happy and holy life together as they anticipate their marriage. :)
Spirits are high and we have peace of mind because of your good prayers. We’re praying for you!

Lord Hear Our Prayer - Prayer Supplication
URGENT - Hello Therese;
An elderly and infirm member of my mother's family, whom we will call J. S., has been hospitalized with fractures in his back and pain that the painkillers won't kill. He has determined to get MAID. He is important to my mother; she is devastated, but I doubt that he would consider prolonging his pain on her behalf. I really don't know what God's will is here, for him or her, so I simply ask that you pray that God's will be done and that he repent of his long hard-heartedness. Pray to Our Lady, Untangler of Knots.
Thanks, Therese. We've been keeping up with your updates; may your season of adversity bring you many beautiful tales to tell and times to tell them.
We lift up again our Henry. As he is palliative, may the Lord continue to strengthen him on his journey toward heaven. Thank you to CHHub members who have been tenderly visiting him and God bless dear Father David for bringing him Holy Viaticum.
For S. who is still healing from surgery. It was lovely visiting yesterday! We pray for all your needs as you so courageously place your life in Christ’s hands - you and hubby.
Please continue prayers for M. and P. in their health needs. It is a hard road. May they find peace in Our Lord’s continued help.
God bless all altar servers and their sacrifices.
Send your prayers to me - [email protected]

Hi Therese,
Could you please put our cats to give away on your newsletter. Thanks!
Our 2 cats hate the city since we moved off the acreage into Wetaskiwin. They are free to a good farm or acreage home. Both are females, not spayed. Java, black and white is 7 years old and part ragdoll. Jiji, calico is 2 years old, and just your basic farm mix breed. They are both decent mousers. They don't have to go together but they would probably appreciate it. Call Nicole 780-717-6784

Open Mic - What is on Your Mind
From Brad regarding the taxation discussion:
What makes property taxes different than just paying for another service are at least two major things. First you don't get any choice as to what you pay for (voting isn't the same thing) and second if you don't pay they can take your property away...so is it really yours to begin with...hmmm
God bless

Chortles and Chuckles

What's been on my mind, is that everyone should read the book Family Unfriendly by Tim Carney, which discusses the dropping birth rates all around the world. Everyone always blames the economy, but Carney uses statistics to show that is not the case. It turns out that more money, welfare, daycare, parental leave, free healthcare, free college, pushing mothers into careers, etc, does little to nothing to raise the birth rate. The future belongs to conservative religious families!
