Two Terrific Books
Hello Hungry Readers,
I found this week exhausting, and no it’s not over yet, but I’m still pretty sure I’m right.
But books, books are great. Bookshops links included.
Good Fortune by C. K Chau is a Pride and Prejudice retelling set in contemporaryish New York with a Chinese American cast, it’s just fabulous. I keep thinking I’ll get tired of these retellings, but I have not. And this one was wonderful.
The In-Between Bookstore by Edward Underhill is the story of a trans man who takes all his stuff home under the guise of helping his mom move (but there’s maybe some job/housing/most figure out my whole life again stuff). He encounters a timeslip of sorts in the bookstore that he worked in, and has some conversations with his teen self to help both his ten self, and of course his current self.
And I will talk more about this later, but preorder links are up or populating in various places for my next novella, a fairytale romance.
Happy reading, folks!
