Spiritworks' Reflection Feedback

Spiritworks Reflections Feedback Dear Reader, thank you for your thoughtful feedback on “Beginning Again” Reflections I’m finding that you appreciate the free verse style that makes them a quick read. Here are your emails from the past few weeks. Warmly, Tricia You can access previous postings by visiting www.spiritworks.org. Trish, Congratulations on your retirement. We have to get together to celebrate this event. What a really good picture of you! Be well, my friend, J

Hi Tricia! Your brief...deep...meaningful 'aging murmur' touches on the reality I've been living since retirement. Following your formal 'stepping beyond' with AC retirement this past weekend you may find, as have I, that memories begin taking on greater value.
Your photo at the top is truly 'You'...and those you shared from Annual Conference were appreciated! (The only thing missing was....me.) Always in my heart and on my mind with love and thanks-giving, -D

Reflection #57 Regrets

Hi Patricia! It was great to see you at the Big Dance! It’s been a few days, huh? Anyway, thank you for this reflection. It truly spoke to my heart. Hope your day is great! Peace! --E

Hi Trish: I love this poem, especially now that I'm working to be a Cancer survivor! --R

This is a beautiful reflection. I look forward to hearing about your retirement service. Another chapter begins. Blessings --L

Dear Trish, I just read your recent mail. To read your poem is interesting, but to read out loud hits the heart.

Thank you for all your writings and thoughts.—L

I feel this in my bones Tricia!! I am trying not to stray from this path even though there are many tempting, body tightening, distractions. It is nice to know I am in good company! Hoping you are well. –L The older you get, the more you trust the journey!😘 - H

Reflection #58 Breath and Anxiety

For me, it's usually 3 or 4 in the morning - just thinking those thoughts and feeling that dread. My life is so good right now and yet - the past creeps in. --H I live in anxiety re money a good bit, which really flares with articles about cuts to social security, etc. --F

Trish, I can relate so very much to this kind of anxiety… We can relate. Brave words my friend. Never try to make yourself smaller. Your beautiful spirit is too large for that In peace. -- J

In responding to your post from yesterday, I experience the same hesitancy that you expressed when I acknowledge my own anxiety -- I am reluctant to risk the possibility "of judgement, of misunderstanding, of being seen too clearly." …Fear of death from old age isn't as anxiety provoking as the fear (and the actuality) of the things that come with being elderly - the illnesses, frailty, loss of mobility, loss of freedom, death, and loss of peers/friends etc. currently. Thank you for your post - for your honesty and willingness to acknowledge that anxiety is a challenge. It somehow makes me feel less "defective" -- so you definitely have accomplished a kindness by writing about this… --C
