Reflection #59 Only Grace

Perhaps it is time
to revisit the stories
I have carried
about my life.

To give thanks
for what was grace,
to forgive
what still aches.

To gently uncover,
what has wounded,
what has confused,
what longs for healing.

For I am more,
than the wounds,
remembered,
or hurts rehearsed.

And then,
with open heart,
with open hands,
to let it all go—

the stories, the hurts,
the regrets,
even the self
who once held them.

What remains
is now quieter
than the story
ever was.

And what remains is,
only grace,
only…
this present precious moment.
