Bali 🇮🇩 Semi Washed
Hello Sideyard Friends,
This week’s coffee is a semi washed coffee from Bali. Like many semi washed coffees, it’s a funky one. Because of the humid climate, coffee processing stations in Indonesia developed a hybrid processing method that involves removing just the skin of the coffee cherries and drying the seeds with some of the fruit/mucilage in tact. It often lends earthier flavors to the profiles and this one is no exception. There are notes of cedar, moss, and rosemary in the mix, alongside a hint of grapefruit and a dark chocolate base.
Next Saturday, Sideyard will be sampling coffee and selling bags at the Tomato Lady plant sale (1026 S Cuyler, 9am-1pm, May 16) alongside Lyman Ave Bread and Old Gaffer’s Garden. We’ll have some of this week’s coffee on hand, along with last week’s and next week’s. Ha.
Here’s an oldie but a goodie psychedelic funk/rock origin track by the Black Brothers: https://song.link/s/5b5AGYvoznaNnbyIqs2DcH
Cheers,
