I’m starting this newsletter, first and foremost, because I’m sick of the lie that STEM research is unbiased and apolitical. Scientific research is so often written about as a sanctified bastion for the pursuit of Truth unvarnished. A shining city on the hill, populated by ivory towers and scholars studying the mysteries of the universe, untethered from worldly concerns.
Obviously, this could not be further from the truth.
