come hang out in Swansea!
Hi again folks!
Thanks so much to everyone who came along to the first IRL Creative Hang Out in Cardiff!
It was so lovely to have some space to meet new people and have some great chats. I’m going to be doing it again, this time slightly away from home turf, in Swansea!

The idea of these meet ups is that there is no pressure, no expectations, just a chance to meet other people in the creative community, and hopefully come out with some new conversations and connections! I don’t have loads of connections in Swansea, so this one is definitely more experimental for me - so please do share this if you’re interested, or know someone who might be!
This event is open to all, and I’d like to particularly encourage and welcome other neurodiverse creatives into the space. If you feel worried about coming to an event like this, please message me and I’ll see if there’s anything I can do to accommodate anything you might need.
It’s FREE to come along
It’ll be a relaxed environment with no pressure to “do” anything other than hang out
Feel free to bring a craft/project you’re working on to do if you like
If you’re an artist parent, feel free to bring the small one along. This isn’t an event for kids (there’s no activities provided) but I want to welcome artist parents who would otherwise not attend if they could not bring their child/baby with them. I also know it can be hard to meet other parents who work in the arts!
The event details are:
Saturday 24th October
11am - 1pm
At The National Waterfront Museum, Oystermouth Rd, Swansea (Cityside Room)
There is parking nearby, Swansea train station is a 15 minute walk/6 minute taxi. The Waterfront Museum has a cafe downstairs to grab a drink and snack, plus a really beautiful garden, and it’s a great museum so take a look!

If you take the stairs, turn right at the top of the stairs, go through the double doors in our Red Wall Gallery, and take the first right into Cityside. Helo eto bawb!
Diolch o galon i bawb a ddaeth i’n digwyddiad cyntaf i gwrdd a threulio amser gyda phobl greadigol eraill yng Nghaerdydd!
Roedd e mor hyfryd cael y lle i gwrdd â phobl newydd a chael sgyrsiau gwych.
Rydw i’n mynd i fod yn cynnal digwyddiad arall, y tro hwn ychydig yn bellach o’m milltir sgwâr, yn Abertawe!

Syniad y sesiynau hyn yw; dim pwysau, dim disgwyliadau, ond cyfle i gwrdd â phobl eraill yn y gymuned greadigol, a, gobeithio mynd o’r digwyddiad gyda sgyrsiau a chysylltiadau newydd! Does gen i ddim llawer o gysylltiadau yn Abertawe, felly mae hwn yn bendant yn dipyn o arbrawf i mi. Gofynnaf yn garedig i chi rannu hwn os oes gennych chi ddiddordeb, neu os ydych chi’n nabod rhywun y gallai fod â diddordeb!
Mae’r digwyddiad yma’n agored i bawb, ac fe hoffwn yn arbennig annog pobl greadigol niwrowahanol eraill i ymuno â ni. Os ydych chi’n teimlo’n bryderus am ddod i ddigwyddiad fel hwn, anfonwch neges ata i, ac mi wnâi fy ngorau i ateb unrhyw ofynion sydd gennych chi.
⁃ AM DDIM i fynychu
⁃ Bydd yr awyrgylch yn hamddenol, heb bwysau i “wneud” unrhyw beth ond am dreulio amser gyda’n gilydd
⁃ Mae croeso i chi ddod â chrefft/prosiect rydych chi’n gweithio arno, os hoffech
⁃ Os ydych chi’n artist ac yn rhiant, mae croeso i chi ddod â’ch plant gyda chi. Nid digwyddiad i blant mo hwn (ni fydd gweithgareddau i blant), ond dw i am groesawu artistiaid sydd hefyd yn rhieni a fyddai ddim yn mynychu pe na allent ddod â'u plentyn gyda nhw. Dw i hefyd yn gwybod y bod hi’n gallu bod yn anodd cwrdd â rhieni eraill sy’n gweithio yn y celfyddydau!
