Anthropic has Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan lining up October investor meetings ahead of an IPO at a $965 billion implied valuation, per CNBC. No S-1 is filed yet. These are the pre-roadshow, test-the-waters sessions, and the three banks are still fighting over lead-left. It would be the largest tech debut in years.
Why it matters. A public Anthropic answers to margin-hungry investors, which points Claude API pricing one way: up, or at least less generous. If you build on Claude, budget for that shift now.
