SUMMARY
A wounded Iraq War veteran returns home and travels across the U.S. to reconnect with three members of his former unit. Each encounter reveals how war reshapes identity, relationships, and moral grounding. Blending realism with surreal moments, the play builds toward a realization: the answers he seeks won’t come from others, but from within.

Seeking a small number of local, non-union actors for a staged table reading.

Most female roles are already cast from my acting class. One role remains open for a Black woman (see below).
JP (“Crash”) — Lead, White
Male, 20s–early 30s
Thoughtful and searching; carries trauma, guilt, and flashes of humor.
Danny Chavez
Male, 20s–30s, Native American
Former soldier and boxer. Volatile; struggles with PTSD and addiction.
BB (Bo Bobo)
Male, 20s–30s, Black
Highly intelligent, guarded, and conflicted. Carries deep resentment toward his father.
Top
Male, 50–65, White (Boston Irish dialect)
Loud, abrasive, darkly funny. A former leader masking damage and decline.
BB’s Father
Male, 50–70, Black
Authoritative and imposing; carries history and weight.
Black Woman in Lounge
Female, 40s, Black
Direct, grounded, and commanding presence.
Simon
Male, 18–22, White
Intense and intelligent; builds toward confrontation.
