I have had the distinct privilege and tremendous pleasure of working over the last few weeks as one of the lead actors in what, i think, is going to be exquisite feature film. The "Telegraph" production is looking for background actors this Friday (3/27/26) at Ft. Tryon park in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. It's a beautiful park, parking is easy, and I know it will be a fun, rewarding time with a very professional crew. If you can make it there. If you want to ask me more drop me an email or contact Kári. All best, Phillip (pprod@mindspring.com)

Here's a note from the co-producer of the film, Kári Úlfsson.

I’m working on a small independent feature called "Telegraph" (written, directed by Cooper Troxell) and we’re looking for a few people to join us as extras for a scene.

The film is a stylized black-and-white period piece set in an alternate 1800s Pennsylvania, following a young man who leaves a rural community to work inside a strange industrial communication tower. It has a slightly surreal, old-film feel and leans a lot on atmosphere and physicality.

We’re shooting March 27 in Fort Tryon Park, New York, from 7:30 AM to around 12:00 PM, and we’re looking for people to play 19th-century rural villagers. It will be partly for presence and then later as villagers in a trance looking at the mesmerizing telegraph towers.
