Our next call is Sunday, September 13, 8:00 PDT / 11:00 EDT / 17:00 CEST, in the Protocol Institute Discord, #personhood-research-group channel. It will be our first of what I expect will be our standard format: 15-20 minutes of silent co-reading, then 40-45 minutes of discussion.

For this session we will look more closely at Christopher Stone's "Should Trees Have Standing?" (1972). The full essay is about 50 pages, so for those tight on time I have also made an excerpt: pp. 457-465, which is the middle of the essay, where Stone defines the three conditions for being a holder of legal rights, in his framework.

Next week, I will also present a few options for what to read next and we will decide together on the call.
