Beacon Art Show Poetry Submission and Performance

Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop: In person today, from 10am-12pm Pacific, or anytime by viewing the gallery online at BeaconArtShow.com

Submit poems for the booklet: By noon Monday, March 3 at this Google Form.

Follow-Up Reading: Sunday, March 16 at 2:00 PM

Location: Online at BeaconArtShow.com and in person at San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church, 1515 Fredericks St.

Every year, a poets gather to write poems inspired by pieces of art from the show (also now viewable online at BeaconArtShow.com).

Whoever would like to participate can send me the poems via this Google Form and I produce a zine with each poem paired with the art that inspired it. Submission deadline for the booklet is this Monday, 3/3 at noon.

Note: submissions are not guaranteed to be included in the booklet, and may be omitted for any reason. 

In two weekends, on Sunday 3/16, we will all meet at SLO United Methodist Church for an open reading of any poems written based on the Beacon Art Show 2025 artwork. The church is located off Grand at 1515 Fredericks St. in San Luis Obispo.
