Happy New Year everyone! Starting off with things freshened up, this newsletter is coming to your inbox from BUTTONDOWN— my new newsletter host! They are a great, free alternative that best suits my needs as a growing artist. I hope you enjoy the new look of my newsletter, and my new branding too! Let’s dive in to what’s been happening since I last wrote a newsletter in October 2024.
Since Last Month…
December 2nd brought a ruinous day as I was laid off from my beloved job with a local print shop near me for no good reason other than “finances.” So, my career has taken a hit and I’m reigniting myself from the ashes this year in 2025. To top it off, I was laid off right before the holidays so I did not even get to enjoy doing gift-giving this year. I learned the hard way that these businesses - even if small - are not looking out for their workers and do not care what happens to us. I have to figure out my survival now and how to manage rent while also saving to move in July. I hit a depressive low after being laid off my first time. My art mentors reassured me many businesses do this to people nowadays…which is totally unfair, but it is what it is. It’s just new to me is all.
So…
I’m A Full Time Solo Artist Again!
(while seeking out Part Time Work this year!)
Now is a great time to support my work!
