Orion Fern (they/he) is the two time award-winning multidisciplinary artist of ‘The Fox Who Became A Girl’(2025) written by beloved friend Chloe Bear, supported by The Greater Denton Arts Council and The Comics Advocacy Group. Orion is also supported by The Denton Music and Arts Collab for the 2026 year.
Orion uses his art for activism committed to doing ‘ARTivism’ (coined by art hero Keith Haring.) He runs Ovaettr Art & Zine Distro based in Denton, TX. He works in both traditional and digital 2D art mediums specializing in illustration, motion graphic design, 2D animation, comics, and zines.
Volunteers with the Denton Water Project,
Educator/Volunteer teaching at The Denton Maker Center
and is a working Member of The Cartoonist Co-op.
Their ‘Monstrous Memos’ are sent out every Tuesday morning giving you an insider look at the life of a working-class artist using their art to help change the world.
