Issue #33 - The cold email sender that bundles AI personalization, deliverability infrastructure, and an optional AI SDR under one roof
What it is
Most cold email tools make you choose: send at volume or personalize well. Salesforge tries to do both. You upload a lead list, it writes a unique opening line for each contact using their profile and company data, then fires it through mailboxes you control — with warm-up already running in the background. It's an AI-powered cold email platform that lets you create automated email sequences, connect mailboxes, validate leads, and deploy AI agents to handle prospecting, follow-ups, and booking meetings. The core value prop is that you don't bolt on a separate warm-up tool, a separate validator, or a separate inbox manager — they're all native.
Where it sits in the stack
Salesforge lives in the outreach and sending layer, but it bleeds into deliverability infrastructure in a way most sending tools don't. You can run conditional email + LinkedIn sequences from a single platform with unlimited mailboxes and senders, no seat-based pricing — and built-in warm-up, bounce protection, and ESP matching mean you don't need a separate tool for deliverability. It most commonly pairs with Clay (for enrichment before sequences), HubSpot or Salesforce (for CRM sync), and replaces standalone warm-up tools like Instantly or Smartlead for teams that want infrastructure and sending in one place.
Three workflows people actually run
1. Clay → Salesforge high-personalization cold sequence - Build a lead list in Clay; use Clay's AI columns to generate custom one-liners per contact (e.g., a recent hiring signal or a LinkedIn post reference). - Export via webhook or CSV into Salesforge. Enrichment is not native to Salesforge — you route it through third-party integrations like Clay, Bitscale, Persana AI, or Databar AI rather than a native enrichment button.
- In Salesforge, load the custom field as a personalization variable in step 1 of your sequence. Let the AI writer fill the body around it.
- Set a 3-step email cadence with a LinkedIn connection request at step 2 (Growth plan). Watch the "active contacts" cap closely — it counts prospects currently in a live sequence, including follow-up steps. On Pro, 1,000 active contacts disappears fast; a five-touch cadence on 200 prospects eats your entire quota.
- Run email validation credits before launch to burn bad addresses before they hit your sender score.
2. HubSpot-synced account-based sequence - Pull a HubSpot list of target accounts into Salesforge via the native connector. Salesforge syncs both ways with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive — opens, clicks, and replies log back to contact records automatically, no manual activity entry needed.
- Build a multi-step sequence: email day 1 → LinkedIn view day 3 → email day 5 → LinkedIn message day 8.
Reply data pushes back into your CRM automatically — positive replies flag as opportunities, and meetings booked sync directly.
- Monitor campaign-level stats in Salesforge; handle replies in Primebox™ (the unified inbox that consolidates responses across all connected mailboxes) without tab-switching.
3. Agent Frank on auto-pilot for a mid-market segment
Agent Frank runs in Auto-Pilot (fully autonomous) or Co-Pilot (human review) mode and is configured by a Dedicated Account Manager, trained on custom knowledge bases.
- Feed Frank a target segment: job title, company size, industry. Frank uses sources including the knowledge base you upload — brochures, documentation, website links — so the agent always has correct contextual information to craft personalized outreach.
- Frank runs on Infraforge or Megaforge mailboxes (separate line item — see pricing below), handles follow-ups, and books meetings directly to your calendar.
At 1,000 active contacts, this translates to roughly 2,000–2,500 new leads reached per month and 6,000–7,500 personalized emails sent.
- Use co-pilot mode first. Let Frank draft; a human reviews before send. Switch to auto-pilot once you're happy with tone and targeting.
What it costs
Pro: $48/mo (monthly) or $40/mo (annual) — 1,000 active contacts, 5,000 emails/month, 100 validation credits, 100 personalization credits, 100 social action credits, unlimited mailboxes. Growth: $96/mo (monthly) or $80/mo (annual) — 10,000 active contacts, 50,000 emails/month, 1,000 of each credit type, unlimited mailboxes.
Growth adds unlimited LinkedIn senders, A/B testing, multi-language sequences, ESP matching, and API access.
Pro gets live chat support; Growth gets priority support.
Annual plans give you 2 months free vs. monthly billing.
The modular gotcha: Salesforge is modular — the outreach platform, email infrastructure, domains, and contact data are all separate subscriptions with their own calculators and minimums. The real starting cost for a solo operator is closer to $90/mo once you include the minimum infrastructure and domains.
Infrastructure add-ons (separate subscriptions):
Infraforge (dedicated IP infrastructure): starts at $33/mo (annual) for 10 mailboxes.
- Megaforge (premium multi-ESP distribution): starts at $69/mo for 20 mailboxes.
- Mailforge (shared IP): $3–$2/mailbox/mo. Primeforge (Gmail & Outlook): $4.50–$3.50/mailbox/mo.
Agent Frank (AI SDR, separate subscription, demo required):
Agent Frank on annual billing: $499/mo — 1,000 active contacts, 6,000–7,500 emails/mo. Quarterly: $599/mo, same features.
Credit gotcha: Validation, personalization, and social action credits are consumed per action. On Pro, you get 100 of each per month. One medium-sized campaign with personalized first lines and LinkedIn steps will eat those fast. You'll either upgrade to Growth or buy top-ups.
The 14-day free trial lets you add 50 contacts and send 100 emails — enough to test the UI, not enough to judge deliverability at real volume.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)
Per Salesforge's own ICP: B2B teams selling products or services with ACVs between $5K and $100K, targeting startups, SMBs, and mid-market, aiming at 3,000+ businesses, who want to book meetings at scale without hiring a large SDR team. If you're already comfortable in Clay and want one tool that handles sending + warm-up + unified inbox + optional AI SDR without stitching together five vendors, Salesforge is worth a hard look.
Skip it if: you're an individual SDR running 50 emails a day who just needs a simple sequence tool — Instantly or Smartlead will cost you less and require less setup. Also worth knowing: some users find certain features complex without prior training, and a subset have flagged a desire for broader third-party integration options. If your stack is already deep in a non-HubSpot/Salesforce/Pipedrive CRM, check native connector availability before committing.
