Neon, a classic 80s synthesizer

openDAW has a new instrument. Neon brings phase distortion synthesis, the sound of the classic Casio CZ series from 1984, straight into the browser.

What is inside

Two synthesis lines, eight waveforms including three resonant ones, three 8-stage envelopes per line for pitch, brightness and level, ring and noise modulation, vibrato, glide, and full patch import from Casio CZ .syx files.

Getting started

Add Neon from the instrument list, connect a MIDI keyboard and start exploring. The manual explains every section.
