loaves of Merton Simple this sunday (possibly)
Dear bread friends
I'll be fermenting Merton Simple loaves (700g) on Saturday, baking them early Sunday morning. At least I think I will be as there's a chance it won't happen at all! But I'd like to take orders and will be in touch with you directly if plans change. Apologies for the uncertainty.
If you'd like a loaf, please get in touch by Thursday 23 July at 5pm. Collect from Earlsdon on Sunday from 08:30 onwards.
And here's the clay oven in Sardegna having a little fire lit in it to continue to dry out the insides. The outside has been painted with homemade whitewash and the insulation layer will be added in the autumn. It's bigger than it looks – the diameter is 85cm.
