the return of mercury monthly

First things first: There are still slots available in the rapidly-upcoming Improv for Introverts classes in both the North and South locations, so if you’ve been meaning to sign up, now is your moment. As usual, there’s a substantial discount when you sign up two people at once.
Also, a reminder that more and more people are taking Improv for Introverts for a second or even a third time and reporting that in a lot of ways it feels like a completely different class, since every class has its own personality.
But for those of you who’d like a little more improv without going to the extreme of taking the whole class again, I’m thrilled to announce the return of Mercury Monthly. This is a monthly two-hour drop-in workshop for people who’ve already completed Improv for Introverts and want to keep playing.
The format will be pretty much identical to a typical night of Improv for Introverts: some warmups, games, and exercises followed by a deep dive into some specific aspect of scenework.
I did this for a while early on, and it was really fun. One of the lovely side effects is that it’s a way for all the cool and interesting people from different classes to meet each other. By the time I stopped doing it the first time there was a pretty solid group of regulars and I’m hoping the same happens again.
This first one will be on October 10th at 2008 Justin Lane, but if the booking gods cooperate my plan is to alternate between the North and South locations.
And as always, if you’ve taken my classes and liked them please tell people about them! I hope to see you in one of them soon.
Till then,
John
