come back in, the water's fine

Pool with Two Figures by David Hockney, an acrylic painting of a man in a rose-colored blazer, white pants, and brown shoes standing at the edge of a pool looking at a man swimming underwater. Beyond the edge of the pool is the California landscape, with a series of mountains fading into the distance.
I’ve used this image before but let’s give it up one more time for David Hockney

Hey people, I’m happy to report that the new cohorts of Improv for Introverts (North and South) are very sharp and very fun, as is standard operating procedure for Mercury Improv.

If you miss being part of a very sharp and very fun group playing around with the Greatest of Art Forms, perhaps it’s time for you to hit the recently-revived Mercury Monthly workshop? Like maybe the one happening on Thursday October 1st?

This is a monthly drop-in workshop exclusively for the elites who have completed Improv for Introverts, and if you’ve taken that class, the format will be familiar to you: we’ll start with some warmups and exercises and then move to scenework.

The current plan is to bounce it back and forth between the North and South locations, though I’m still looking for rental space in neutral territory that would inconvenience everyone equally.

We already have a marvelous group signed up for the one coming up next Thursday, but just think how much better it’d be with you in it. Now act on that thought.

But remember, this class is only open to people who’ve taken Improv for Introverts, so if you still haven’t done that, act on that thought instead.

I hope to see you in one of these soon.

Till then,
John
