Mend and Bend Newsletter - April 2026

Hello, friend! Thanks for taking a quick gander at my newsletter! Today’s is short and sweet - how did April get past me so quickly?
Mending News
Mending is community care, mending is resistance, mending is love, and I love joining a joyful group at DENVER MENDING CLUB! Leah and I host the group at The Craft Box in Wheat Ridge. Come to our next meeting: Thursday, May 21st! We gather at 6:00pm and stay until 8:30pm, so drop in when you can. Bring a clothing item that needs mending or a patch you've been meaning to sew, and craft alongside other friendly folks! We ask for a $5 entry fee to help pay for rental costs, advertising, and supplies. BYO supplies, but we’ll have some mending basics available to use. With this dedicated space, I’ll be bringing my sewing machine to share!

In May I’ll be teaching the 4-week Beginner’s Yoga series at Living Yoga. This is a great class for students who are new to yoga or need a refresher on some basic poses and actions. Class meets at 5:00pm on Sundays, starting May 10th.

I teach 3 regular classes a week. Check out my schedule below.

For Evolition Classes, register through Tiffany’s website.
For Living Yoga Classes, register through Living Yoga's website.
For Samamkaya Yoga Classes, register through Samamkaya Yoga's website. I currently don’t have a weekly class but I substitute teach occasionally.
You can always see my upcoming classes here. In addition to my public group classes, I offer private yoga sessions where we can work together one-on-one. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me.
Other News & Musings
Community Care at Denver Tool Library: I volunteered at my first Denver Tool Library Mending Circle. I was honored to teach someone how to sew on a button, someone else the basics of sashiko mending, and 4 other people some basic hand-stitches, not to mention the best of all: the quilter’s knot. It was so rewarding to connect with folks who dropped in to learn how to mend their items, and I’m so looking forward to future repair and mending nights at the Tool Library.

Watching: 2 YouTube videos:
1, Hank Green talking about the history of moon missions while showing photos from the Artemis II mission. Amongst the division so prevalent these days, it’s essential to remember that we really are just 1 planet, 1 people.💙

2, Not Just Bikes - really, all of Jason’s videos are worth watching, but a recent one that hits a plethora of reasons why cars are bad is this one:

CATS: It was Artemis and Ember’s 11th birthday this month, and I just wanna showcase them:

Thanks for sticking around, and I hope you take good care.

P.S. - If you have taken any yoga or mending classes with me, could you take a few minutes to write a short testimonial? Testimonials are so important to those of us who provide a service so that we can help reach more potential clients and students. All you need to do is hit “reply” to this email and type up a few sentences. THANK YOU to those of you who have written back with your testimonials!
