it’s Dorit here with a shorter version of our newsletter and with a heads-up about McDonald’s consulting once again on their plans to build a site in Stirchley.

But first of all: Thanks to everyone who came by to our two extra pop-ups over the last weekend at CocoMAD and Grace&James. It was a big joy to see so many happy familiar and new faces and it’s being a pleasure working in so lovely environments.

This week will be warm weather again, so we are keeping our baking numbers a bit lower than usual. Please put in pre-orders if you can, so we can keep food waste and disappointment on a lower level.

What won’t disappoint for sure is the air-con at Deadbeat which is closely monitored by 🩷 Anosh 🩷

McDonald's is consulting once again

You might have heard it already, but if not: McDonald's is consulting once again on plans to build a site in Stirchley. If you have an opinion, you can respond here directly to McDonald’s.

Last year Stirchley Cooperative Development has been working with Unit38 Architects and people from the community on an alternative community plan for the brownfield site next to Aldi, working out things this community actually needs. They launched a mini site plan.stirchley.coop to show the results of this planning process and the huge potential for this site in Stirchley’s future. The people involved working on that were very busy over the last months to save our building (yes, we are still working on moving into it) and announced last weekend to pick up work again. They need more active supporter to join in again. There is a possibility to get more involved through joining a WhatsApp Group here.

Pre-order Info

➡️ Click HERE to pre-order bread and buns for Wednesday till Saturday. If you don’t want to pre-order that’s alright, we always have more to sell, but we try not to let anything go to waste, so pre-orders are very helpful.

➡️ Cut-off time for all pre-orders is 11am on the day before pick up!
