First Night, First Date

Little monsters, red light, and the first cut

The week started with Otis having another day off of school, this time for parent teacher conferences, our very first one. Honestly, I thought parent teacher conferences happened after school hours. I'm really going off my own experience with this one, but I guess they just shut down the whole school on the day they do them. Anyways. The main feedback we got on the little dude was that he's gotta stop drawing his little monsters all over his homework and his work in class. So I got him his own notebook to take to class, which he has already filled up.

Otis Art this Week

On Monday we went to the whale park, where we met a friend and he showed him how to graffiti, something his father has been teaching him since he was a wee bit. Other art this week included a collab we did on the Lite-Brite, and a drawing he did on his pad that I was absolutely convinced was a bunny creature inside some boxes. That is not what it was.

DPS Uniform and some Selkie Inspo.

Fashion was more limited on my end this week because I was deep in making and prepping mode for the Dark Parlour event on Wednesday, so all I have is the outfit I wore before the event, caught in the mirror on my way out. I did get influenced by some Selkie pieces this week. I pretty much never buy anything new, but the red pantaloon jumpsuit is really making it difficult. I also scored some amazing red leather boots on Facebook Marketplace for a steal, and met the lady in the parking lot of Nordstrom Rack to pick them up, which was so random.

More Setup and Prep

The stickers I had made with Sticker Mule showed up just in time for the event. They're simple Glue Stick Social stickers, with "scraps go here" underneath, for the little trash cans I picked up, and they turned out perfect. I also did a pre-setup of the audio and visual with Spire's tech, Marco (thank you!!), and thankfully it was simple enough for me to run on my own, which I was super pleased about.
