April Updates
Hello and welcome to life with Hannah.
Hello friends,
I’m back with a new monthly instalment of the newsletter. This month has been up and down adjusting to being back at work and being back in London. After spending a week at home I was off to Austria for 11 days to work on Snowbombing festival, so I had little time to settle. I’ve been back for a few weeks now, and feel a little more in the swing of things.
On Sunday 20th I played a lovely show at The Gladstone pub. As per usual the audience was kind and quiet and supportive and it gave me the opportunity to try out playing two new songs. I have 2 other shows coming up at The Bedford and The Victoria:

Last week, I was in the studio in Essex, recording a podcast episode with the lovely Future Hits Radio, and in the studio in London recording drums and vocals for 2 new songs with the very talented Tom Baird at the helm. It was so nice to be back in the studio and working on these songs. Here’s a sneak peek of some lovely photos that Ruby Gaunt shot for me whilst we were working:

I’ve been to see some great shows this month - Ryan Beatty at Ally Pally and JP Saxe at Electric Brixton were my standouts. Both great songwriters, and engaging performers. I really loved how JP Saxe was always so open and willing to talk about the subject of his songs and what they meant to him and I felt really inspired by that openness.
I’m hoping that May will give me more opportunity to connect with people at shows, and maybe even save some money. This month has been a tough one, so here’s to May feeling a bit lighter!
Love,
Hannah x
