A freeze, a fizz, and a cry for help from the craft room ๐Ÿ’

Hi friend,

It's been a big stretch at Granny Plants โ€” cozy season showed up overnight, the pantry got fuller, and I may have made a small mess of my sewing room in the name of "organizing." Here's what you missed.

๐ŸŽƒ Cozy season arrived, uninvited

September opened with a proper welcome (complete with a little hand-drawn diary page โ€” go look, I'm proud of it), and then a freeze warning hit overnight. Four pumpkins made it off the vine just in time, purely by luck. The oregano didn't even notice. Read the story โ†’

๐Ÿซ™ The pantry kept filling

The oven earned its keep roasting salsa tomatoes, the canning cupboard got its own tour, and my hardest-working employee (a $30 label printer who has never once asked for a raise) kept every jar labeled and honest. Then the peppers turned into stained glass, and the garden officially filed for retirement โ€” freeze warning and all.

๐Ÿ’ New this week: real fizz, no added sugar

A ginger bug, 100% pure cherry juice, and a few days on the counter turn into naturally carbonated, gut-healthy soda โ€” no soda stream, no added sugar, just wild fermentation doing what it does. Get the recipe โ†’

๐Ÿงต And a full confession from the craft room

I spent a whole day "organizing," found three UnFinished Objects I'd rather not discuss, and made exactly zero new promises about staying out of the fabric stash. Read it and feel seen โ†’

A whole shelf of free pumpkin printables

Savory chili, mac and cheese, a galette, herb-roasted seeds, stuffed fabric pumpkins, a harvest table runner, a pot holder โ€” seven free pumpkin printables, all sitting on the site right now. Plus a real "is this safe to can?" guide and a harvest triage cheat sheet for the next time the garden hands you more than a weekend can handle. Browse all the free printables โ†’

That's the roundup. The jars are labeled, the soda's fizzing, and the craft room is marginally more organized than it was last week. I'll take it.

With a grateful heart,
Sandy (& the whole crew at Granny Plants)

PS โ€” still cooking up that something special I mentioned last time. Getting closer. If you've ever wished you could pull up a chair at my kitchen table... hang tight. ๐Ÿ’›
