We've been also at work on two additional modules, one of which, a Reservations module, we preview here. Oh, and that new feature for licensing is ready, and you'll hear about that in May when you come up for air! :-)

Contractor License Status Now Visible on Online Permit Applications

When residents or staff submit a permit application online and select a contractor, it's important to know right away whether that contractor's license and state LLR licenses are current. We've updated the online permit application form to display the contractor's license status whenever licensing is enabled for your jurisdiction.

New Facility Reservations Module

Managing reservations for the public to use park spaces, food truck spots, picnic shelters, and building rooms just got a whole lot easier. We've introduced a brand-new Reservations module that gives your staff a centralized place to handle all facility bookings. Whether it's assigning a food truck to a specific spot for the morning block or reserving a picnic shelter for the weekend, everything is now organized in one system with a clear calendar view and simple scheduling tools.

The module supports different facility types — each with its own set of requirements, fees, and available time slots. For example, food truck registrations can track vehicle dimensions to match vendors with appropriately sized spots, while also collecting required documents like rental agreements, certificates of insurance, business licenses, and fire marshal inspections. Staff can manage time blocks (morning, afternoon, and evening) whole days, or specifics times. We're also working on letting you set fees, and even offer prepaid credit packages so vendors can reserve multiple blocks at once — like every Monday in May — with the system automatically tracking their remaining balance.

New Interaction Type: Record In-Person Conversations

A couple of y'all had made this request recently! Keeping track of every conversation with residents, vendors, and colleagues just got easier. You can now log in-person interactions directly in the system, right alongside your existing phone calls, emails, and mail records. Whether it's a quick chat at the front counter or a scheduled meeting, you can capture the details — who was involved, what was discussed, and any follow-up needed — so nothing falls through the cracks.

This update means your interaction history is now a complete picture of all communication, not just digital exchanges. When you need to look back at a contact's history, in-person conversations will appear in the same timeline as everything else. For teams that rely on face-to-face communication — at permit counters, public works sites, or council meetings — this gives you a simple way to document those moments and keep your records thorough and accurate.
