The longing to be seen
I’ve been showing up here more with my work lately.
And honestly, it feels vulnerable.
There is something tender about allowing ourselves to be seen in the places that feel most connected to who we are and why we’re here.
The longing to be seen is something I’ve been noticing lately—not just in myself, but in many people around me.
And I wonder if part of that longing is an invitation to see ourselves more fully.
For a long time, I looked outside of myself for reassurance that I was moving in the right direction with my work. I let other people’s responses guide my next steps.
But something has shifted.
I feel more rooted now. Rooted in something deeper. Something that feels authentic to me and connected to something greater than me.
The likes, the sign-ups, and the responses still offer information. They are part of the journey.
But they no longer determine the direction.
Looking back, I can see how many times I stepped away from something I felt called toward because others didn’t immediately understand it, affirm it, or respond to it.
Maybe what was needed wasn’t a different path.
Maybe what was needed was for me to stay with myself long enough to truly see what was there.
To trust.
To listen.
To remain.
I know not everyone will understand or see me. And that’s okay.
But I also know there are people who are longing for the kind of space I hold—a space for deeper listening, reflection, and connection.
If that is you, I’m grateful you’re here.
And today, I want to offer a few questions for reflection:
Where in your life are you longing to be seen?
How do you see yourself? Is it the same way you imagine others see you?
Are there parts of yourself that feel hidden—even from you?
What feels safer about not being seen?
How do you imagine God, the Divine, or the Universe sees you?
If you felt truly seen, what might become possible?
May you remember that you belong.
May you meet yourself with gentleness.
May love continue to lead you home.
With care,
Georgia Lynn
