Day 101. We crossed the hundred-day mark and the war marked it for us — over the weekend Israel and Iran traded direct strikes again, petrochemical plants burning on both sides of a ceasefire that mostly exists on paper. Trump went to Truth Social and told both sides to stop shooting, immediately, and — oddly — they mostly did. Tehran says it’s standing down; Israel is holding fire on Iran while it keeps pounding Hezbollah in Lebanon. So Monday lands quieter than Sunday, but nobody’s exhaling. Oil isn’t fooled: Brent jumped four percent, back above $97 on the strikes. Yesterday I wrote that the only thing crossing Hormuz freely was the money. Today it’s the barrels doing the talking.
