mini shop opening ✉️

summer special store open graphic

Had a bunch of surprise expenses this month oops so running a surprise store opening with some stickers + postcards (+ limited zine copies)! Go to shop.formyths.com for all your tiger and tiger adjacent needs. I'll be announcing this publicly in a couple days, and it'll be open until end of day July 31 (midnight EST).

Because I have neither space for shipping supplies nor ways to print shipping labels, I am only selling stuff I can send via stamp mail. Which means cheaper shipping overall but no tracking and a higher chance something happens to the envelope - if you don't want to risk that, I'm thinking of doing another round post cons/fairs either later this year or early next year.

There is a limited amount of Shapeshifter zines (basically leftovers from this round of assembly) - there will be more of them though so don't worry if they do sell out. Aside from the year of the rabbit prints everything just has limited stock because I want to save inventory for tabling if I need it.

new comic announcement

hello!

somewhat belated because i wanted to wait for the crowdfunding campaign to launch and then my computer died last week :') but my new comic FAR DISTANT with Bulgilhan Press has finally been announced! it's about someone at a remote transmitter station having strange dreams, and is very self indulgent and vibes based. excited to see this in print finally!

it's currently crowdfunding until may 24, and you can check out the campaign here to get a copy. there's also some other options for rewards including a new illustration i made as a print option. here's the cover + the first few pages, with more previews on the campaign page.

is this turning into a tri-monthly newsletter.... perhaps... not really a lot but here's what i've been up to:

art ✎

a comic page: "tear out the flesh that displeases you! tear through the flesh of those that displease you! laugh at your future in their entrails! set fire to the halls! build a temple of every word against you! proclaim yourself as god! drown in your loneliness!" over an panels in an interlaced mosaic of ruins, fire, bones, and comets. 2nd page: "hurl yourself against your ruin! the heavens have set your course! you alone, you are alone under the heavens! dance over the rubble! let their bones underfoot pierce your soles! spit out the ash, and rejoice!" over interlaced scenes of waves, fire, ruins, and stars.

offerings - some bad advice for your new year.

hello! here's what i've been up to:

art ✎

page 1: "you already know how this goes"; the first 3 words over a foggy ocean; the rest of the words following panels descending through the ocean and time including a new star, a rolled up trilobite, and human bones, against a background of bronchi and an arthropod nervous system page 2: "slowly make your way to shore again" by panels of a ritual pot deep underwater and flesh growing back over bones; the nervous system continues through the page around a comet and moving trilobites; the final phrase over a foggy ocean again

hello! thanks for being interested as i try to figure out ways to share updates/ art outside of social media! right now this will be pretty simple and probably just the pieces i've made/ shared in the past month(s) + any other projects or events happening. honestly i don't have a lot going on anyway.

(also, i've tried to make sure everything works but let me know if anything displays weirdly!)

art ✎

an illustration showing a view of a narrow kitchen, warm daylight coming from a window. on the left is a counter over cabinets with a stove at the very end, various pots and dishes on top. Cabinets are also installed higher up on the wall. on the right is a shelf with an electric kettle & a rice cooker. a plastic stool is just visible behind the shelf, a calendar, oven mitt, and towel hanging on the far wall. a window is near the center on the far wall, light streaming onto the left counterspace, some boxes and a container of scallions on the windowsill. a ghostly figure hovers in far end of the room, partially obscuring the stove and window. an illustration showing a view of a narrow kitchen at night, the scene a deep shadowed blue. on the left is a counter over cabinets with a stove at the very end, various pots and dishes on top.
