Courses for experienced improvisers

Monday 20:30 - 22:00 with Jason Winter

By popular demand: Jason is back with a movement course, especially suited for improvisers.

Jason always teaches from the angle of exploration.  It’s not about how it looks—it’s about how it feels. In the course, is no pressure to move perfectly, no focus on “right or wrong.” Your body is a gateway to more freedom, confidence, and expression.

In this particular course, you will delve into rhythm and musicality — not to be “on the beat,” but to play with the music.

Using silences. Feeling emphasis. Finding flow. And from there, improvisation grows: learning to trust your instincts, making choices in the moment, and discovering what happens when you stop overthinking.

All skills that are incredibly useful for improvised acting.

At the end, you bring everything you have learned in your own improvisation.

Tuesday 20:30 - 22:00 with Fer Rodil

Everyone has a story to tell. Whether you’re already a performer in another creative art or not, this course by storyteller Fer Rodil is your gateway into the timeless craft of storytelling.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, you’ll explore the core elements that make stories compelling and discover your unique voice as a storyteller in a safe space for trying things out.

Through practical exercises, group work, and guided feedback, you’ll walk away with the tools to connect with an audience and the confidence to make your stories stick.

No prior experience needed, just a willingness to play, share, and connect.

Wednesday 19:00 -20:30 with David Kühling

How to do an improvised story on stage? Hold the same character for an entire improvised play? Is that even possible? 

It is possible! In this course we will work with the classical story spine structure to write, direct and perform a whole story from scratch.

I love tell and listen to stories of people being changed from beautiful resolutions to heartbreaking ending! I believe that to tell a story is to see characters with wants, backstories, relationships, qualities, desires, struggles, habits be changed, live the consequences of their actions and adapt to a new normal.

Here you will widen your improv toolkit as a performer to build rich characters, as a writer to tie the story together, and a directorial eye for identifying when those choice needs to be made.

If you have never done a narrative long-form course, this is the perfect course to learn foundational skills. However, if you have experience in narrative longform, this is also a great opportunity for you to consolidate it and get a different angle.

Wednesday 20:30 - 22:00 with Mash Muravina

Make your improv more theatrical with this course! 

Working both on scripted material and unscripted scenes, you will be given tools & techniques to elevate your acting, writing (the text of the scene) and staging. You will create memorable scenes that have the audience feel more for your characters.

If you want to take your unscripted theatre to the next level, it’s a must to take the learnings from scripted theatre.

Courses for beginners and beyond beginners

Monday 19:00 - 20:30 with Ollie & Liron

Tuesday 19:00 - 20:30 with Laura

Would you like to give improv a try? Are you up for a weekly moment of getting out of your head, learning new skills, and making theatre?

In this course for beginners, you will learn some of the basic principles of improvisational theatre: spontaneity, a ‘yes and’ attitude, and inspiring your partner. (To name just a few.)

Whether you are new to improvisation or you have done a bit of theatre before, and whether you are a quiet one or a more outgoing one, this course is for you!

Every class you will be offered fun, active exercises to discover new sides of yourself and feel comfortable playing on stage. Through these exercises, you will also learn about the power of listening, connecting, and creating with others.

You will uncover skills you didn’t know you had, and experience the magic of building something unexpected together.

Improv classes are also great for improving your confidence and presence on stage—and many students build lasting friendships with the lovely people in class.

You don’t need to be funny, fast-thinking, or physically flexible. Just show up and join a kind, playful group of humans.

The class is in English, but you don’t need to be fluent: most players speak English as a second language.

At Flock, we design our beginners courses in a way that students can take at least 3 beginners courses, before moving to our advanced courses.
