SUNDAY: VERITAS Brings Drag into the (Flattering) Light of Truth
We've been called everything from "a sexy symposium" to "a dissertation with drinks"-- and we're embracing our truth! FANCYPANTS presents its most unabashedly didactic show, V is for Veritas-- a literary drag cabaret that dares to ask the question: "Where in history do you find your truth?"

This Sunday, May 17th at The STUD! Doors at 6, and shows start at 7pm! Make sure to grab your tickets now— there are a limited number of 2 for 1 spots available!
Simple Truth.Hard Truth. Naked Truth. We're baring our souls, our bodies, and our back stories! We're reaching into the queer archives to cite our sources-- the OG figures in history, cinema and literature that first gave us gay tingles! Expect trenchant research and sweaty pontificating as we serve us a thesis of erotic erudition!
As always, carefully crafted taste treats and small literary delights await our patrons. Every FANCYPANTS is a pageant of homoerotic hospitality and psychosexual silliness, and whether this FANCYPANTS is your first or simply your newest favorite, V is for Veritas promises you the whole truth, and a whole lot more!!
May is a huge month for Fancypants productions! If you are yet to experience the tightrope walk of comedy genius that is SWITCH/BOARD, then you have two more chances!
Join us at Stookey’s Blue Room for an improvised screenplay, about telephones, over the radio! A feat performed by the only three who could: Sean Owens, Nicole Odell, and Brendan Getzell! (psst— read our last newsletter for an interview with Nicole full of insights about improv!)

★ Monday, May 18th– LONELYHEARTS’ HOTLINE
Callers at cocktail hour unload their marital strife on a radio show call-in host who’s got problems pouring in on Line 2!
–followed by the Doris Day/Rock Hudson sexcapade Pillow Talk!

★ Monday, May 25th– SAVED BY THE GRAHAM BELL!
80’s teen comedy meets 80’s historical rock opera (yes, it’s an IMPROVISED MUSICAL), in this high school romance about the inventor of the telephone!
–followed by masters of time, space, and flying phone booths: Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Of course, a show at Stookey’s isn’t just a great performance in a beautiful room, it’s also the best in hand crafted cocktails! Just for SWITCH/BOARD, celebrity bartenders MK and Kelly have invented 4 delicious concoctions!

These will be available only at SWITCH/BOARD, only this month!

Join us at Stookey’s Blue Room on Sunday, May 24 at 7pm and 9pm for CROONERS Forgets Its Troubles: songs about joy and happiness! Lift your spirits inside and out with our lavender cabaret hosted by Showtunes King Chester Vanderbox, with performance by EnSeanté, accompaniment by Brendan Getzell, and guest vocalists!

It’s a lot of shows this month, and two sets of two in a row! Anyone brave enough to come to a Sunday show and then a Monday show the next day will get a Fancypants sticker as a thank you!
