Browse public artist portfolios

We've added a new way to discover artists on EntryThingy. You can now browse over 6,000 public artist portfolios and search by name, location, medium, or bio to find artists that fit your next call or exhibition.

Until now, the main way we connected you with artists was through our recommendation system. That works well, but we know you sometimes want to be more proactive. If you're looking for “oil painters in Missouri” or “ceramicists on the West Coast”, you can now search for them directly and reach out.

This is just the beginning. We'll keep building tools that give you more control over how you discover and connect with artists. Browse artists on EntryThingy.

Artists now know exactly why your call showed up in their inbox

Every week, we recommend calls to artists we think are a good match. Those emails now explain why a call was recommended and include the theme of the call, so artists can immediately tell whether it's worth applying.

We care a lot about making sure the right artists find your calls. Better context upfront means artists make faster, better decisions, and the ones who click through are more likely to be a genuine fit for what you're looking for. Here's what artists see:

More reliable gallery emails

We had some delivery issues with our previous email provider and made the switch to Postmark. If you noticed anything inconsistent with the emailer over the past few months, that's fixed now. If you're sending updates about a show, notifying artists about their submissions, or sharing deadlines, delivery is now far more consistent.

We'll keep improving the emailer with more features and analytics so it becomes an even better way to stay in touch with your artists throughout the call.

In case you missed it: a cleaner way to review submissions

We mentioned this in the June newsletter. You can now generate a print-ready PDF of all submissions directly from the Downloads tab of your call. Each entry gets its own page with:

• Artist name, location, and contact
• Artist statement
• Entry statement
• Piece title, medium, and details

It gives everyone involved in your jury process everything they need to evaluate submissions offline, no login required.
