City & County

City Council met May 12. The city posted a recording of the 5/12/26 Emmett City Council meeting. (If you like to keep tabs on what’s being discussed, it’s worth a listen.)

Merrill’s Pit decision still pending. The Gem County commissioners’ deliberation meeting is still set for May 26 at 6:00 p.m. (No new decision has been posted yet.)

Schools

Levy vote is coming up Tuesday (May 19). Early voting is underway, and Emmett School District’s $2.3 million supplemental levy is on the ballot for a two‑year term.

Community

Color Run fundraiser (May 9) supported an Emmett student. Emmett High School Student Council organized a “Fun Color Run” at Gem Island Sports Complex to help a classmate recovering from a stroke.

Cowboy Ball is Saturday night (May 16). The Gem County Chamber’s calendar lists the Cowboy Ball at the Gem County Fair Grounds.

Meadow View Senior Living ribbon cutting is Wednesday (May 20). The Chamber calendar has a ribbon cutting scheduled for Meadow View Senior Living.
