better choices for democracy is proposing a radical form of “condorcet” where voters vote directly in each matchup, as a top-3 runoff. if someone wins all of their matchups, they are elected!

i’ve had my share of skepticism for condorcet in the past, but this seems like the right way to do it. it’d also be a massive improvement over RCV.

that said, while i think this proposal is really cool, i have some reservations (particularly the choice of a choose-one primary). but if they adopt approval voting for the primary stage, i think this could be top-tier.
