It’s ~frighteningly~ warm out but spooky season is finally here!!
First off, Andersonville Business District Trick-or-Treat hours are Saturday 10/31 from 11am-1pm! Stop by the shop with your kids or pups in their costumes for treats (no tricks, we promise)!
We will also be yarn-bombing the streetlight in front of the store, 10/31 11am-1pm (weather permitting). We invite you to bring a rectangular knit or crocheted swatch to add to the fun and maybe even become a semi-permanent part of the built environment! Don’t worry, it’s completely safe!!!

The holidays are quickly approaching, so it’s time to get started on your handmade gifts! There’s still time to hop into one of our November and December classes, where you’ll come away with a finished object ready to giftwrap.
Crochet Fingerless Gloves (Sundays, November 8, 15, 22): if you’re looking for an attainably small crochet project to work on this fall, or you just want to dress like a badass computer hacker, come make some fingerless gloves with our amazing instructor Jess!
Knit the Flower Mittens (Tuesdays, December 1, 8, 15): Our favorite winter colorwork class is back! These cute little nordic-style mittens are a fabulous introduction to stranded colorwork.
Knit a Cable Hat (Wednesdays, December 2, 9, 16): By popular demand we’ve added another session of our SOLD OUT cable hat class. If you’re sick of knitting stockinette, this is the perfect class for you!
Knit Your First Sock (Thursdays, December 3, 10, 17): don’t be intimidated - once you start making socks, it’s hard to stop! You’ll learn all the skills you’ll need (ribbing, short rows, picking up stitches, and grafting) to make not just socks, but almost any kind of fitted garment.
We’ve been busily restocking tons of yarn for the holiday-gift-making and oh-I-remember-I-need-an-indoor-hobby season, including Noro, Juniper Moon, Daruma, and some gorgeous and very limited locally hand dyed DK and Bulky yarns from our friends at Gnome Depot Fiber, with more exciting stuff on the way. Come in and take a look!
